Operation Guide
This Operation Manual describes basic operating procedures and overview of operations
necessary for performing FCR long-view exposures. Please read this manual thoroughly
before actually operating these functions.
After reading this manual, store it nearby so that you can see it whenever necessary.
Please be sure to read also the [Image Reader Operation Manual] and [FUJI IP Cassette
type LC Operation Manual] that include detailed operating procedures of this product as

Images targeted for exposures using long-view cassette

The long-view exposure cassette stitches multiple read images so that they are handled as a
single image. This cassette is, therefore, good for exposure of whole spine and whole leg menus.
Prior to using the long-view exposure cassette, ensure that components for preventing the Image Reader from being toppled
over are used appropriately.
You may be injured if the equipment is toppled over when the cassette inserted into it is subjected to undue force.
When performing exposure, make sure that lead characters are positioned within the irradiated field so that direction of the exposure can
be verified appropriately. When doing so, pay due attention not to position the lead characters or any artificial objects around the areas
where image are stitched together.
Any artificial objects, such as lead characters, gypsum, artificial bone, grid scale and the like, that are positioned around the areas where
images are stitched together may not allow automatic image stitching processing to be performed correctly on the Console. If any artificial
objects are found to be positioned around the areas where images are stitched together, perform restitching processing manually.

Note that procedures used are different with each other for
the Double Cassette and Triple Cassette.

 Ensure that upside-down rotated “ ” is displayed on the

• Use the procedure below to register IPs from the green
mark side.
 For the Double Cassette:

(2) IP at the TOP of the Double Cassette and
(3) IP at the BOTTOM of the Double Cassette

Reader for exposure of the whole lower extremities, and
from the BOTTOM for exposure of the whole spine.
7 Image Restitching 4 Select [Next].
A window opens where image restitching is to be performed.

Processing
Images stitched on the Console study window can be
restitched on the QA window.
On the QA window, images undergone stitching processing
can be reverted to the original state and images thus
reverted are rotated or reduced/magnified so that they are
restitched appropriately.

1 Select images to be stitched and then [QA].

The QA window opens.

To perform image restitching processing on this window, we

recommend that you do it under the following conditions.
4-1 Select a 2-point assignment.
4-2 Determine the image display ratio to be 100%.
4-3 On each of the images, select two points that agree
with each other.
5 After image restitching processing has been performed,
select [OK] to complete.

2 Select [WS] from the QA window palette.

processing is to be started manually.
• If restitching processing is selected, the system restores the
images before performing stitching processing. You cannot
select automatic image stitching processing again.
• When selecting restitching processing, please be aware that
the image rotation function is not achievable with manual
image stitching processing.

8 Image Output
To output stitched images, follow the standard operation
procedure that can be used on the Console.
 For details of operations on the Console, see the Console
Operation Manual.

9 Cassette Storage
For storage of a Triple Cassette, we recommend that you use
a dedicated holder for safety purpose.
