Olive: I’m so freaking excited!
James: Do tell!
Olive: I just ordered my planner for next year!
James: Already? We’re barely into November.
Olive: Yeah, but you’ve got to plan for these things.
James: If you say so.
Olive. I do! You’ve got to pick the model, the color, the design, the
thickness of the paper...
James: Uh huh.
Olive: And then there are the writing materials! Pens, pencils,

It’s an informal word that can be used both as an adverb and an

adjective. It can be used to express annoyance or emphasize something.

That book is my favorite. It’s so freaking good.

Do tell
An informal phrase used to express surprise about something. This
expression does not necessarily ask the speaker to provide more details
but merely expresses one’s astonishment. It expresses surprise or
interest. A synonym of “you don’t say”.

James got engaged? Do tell.

Someone is getting a promotion? Do tell.

If you say so
A phrase used when you’re not convinced a statement is true or
correct. It means you’ll take the speaker’s word for it but would prefer
verification. It can also mean you don’t believe the person, but won’t
push further.

Are you ok?

Yes.
If you say so...
