Standing Fathah

 ‫ب ِ ْس ِم اِل ِ ال َّر ْحمٰ ِن ال َّر ِحي ْ ِم‬

‫الس ََلمُ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َّ‬ ‫َ‬

‫الحمد ِل ر ِ ّ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ؼ االَنبِياَءِ وَاْلمُ ْر َسلِيْن النَّبِيِّنَ‬ ‫َ‬
‫عَلى اش َر ِ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫مُ َحمَّد ﷺ َو عَلى الِه ِ وَاصحابِه ِ أجمعِيْن‬
‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬

 ‫ب ِ ْس ِم اِل ِ ال َّر ْحمٰ ِن ال َّر ِحي ْ ِم‬
‫ان الحمد ِل نحمده و نستعينه و نستغفره‬
‫و نعوذ باِل من شرور انفسنا و من سئيات‬
‫أعمالنا من يهداِل فَل مضل له و من يضلل‬
‫فَل هادي له‬
‫لس ََلمُ عَلَي ْ ُكمْ َورَ ْحمَة ُ اهلل ِ وَب َ َر ََكتهُ‬
‫ا َ َّ‬

 Take a deep
breath
You are the best! Why? The Prophet pbuh said so!
‫َخي ْ ُركُمْ مَن تَعَلَّمَ الْقُ ْرءَانَ َو عَل َّ َمه‬
You learn best and remember more when you feel
good!

 Standing Fathah
(Khada Zabar)

• An interesting vowel sign is Standing fathah (khada-

َ‫ب = با‬
zabar).

ٰ
• Its effect is the same as the fathah-letter followed by
Alif-madd. Stretch the sound twice in this case too.

 How to spell it?

• We don’t need to spell for every case. Just look at
the sign of standing fatha and read the letter with it.

‫ٰامَنوا ٰاي ِ‬ ‫ٰامَنَ‬

‫أ َ ْشهَ ُد أَنْ َال إِلَه َ إ ِ َّال أَنْتَ‬
‫وب إِلَيْكَ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫أ ْستَغفِ ُرك وَأت ُ‬‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬
