Greetings of Peace Upon
Allah
ْ ‫ل إلــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــه إ َ هل‬ ْ ‫ل إلــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــه إ َ هل‬
‫اّلل‬
‫ه ِ َه‬ ‫ه ِه‬ ‫اّلل‬
‫ه ِ َه‬ ‫ه ِه‬
ْ ‫محمــ ْد رســـــــــــــــــــــــول‬ ْ ‫ل إلــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــه إ َ هل‬
‫اّلل‬
‫ُ َه‬ ‫ُ ه َه‬ ‫اّلل‬
‫ه ِ َه‬ ‫ه ِه‬
ُ ‫ه‬
There is no God except Allah, There is no God except Allah,

ْ ْ ْ
There is no God except Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

‫ســـ هَلم عـ هَل الـر ْو هضة و فِيا مح َ همـ ِد‬ ‫ســــ هَلم عـــ هَل هق ْبـر يزار ِمــن الـبع ِد‬
‫ه ه ُ ه‬ ‫َه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ُ ‫ه‬ ُ ‫ُه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬
Greetings of peace upon a grave that is visited from far,

ْ
greetings of peace upon al-Rawdah and in it is Muhammad
ْ ْ ْ ‫ســــَلم عـَل مـ‬
‫غ ْوب ِِف كُ َ ِل مقصـــ ِد‬ ‫ف هـب َل ه هغهُ الـــم ْر‬ ُ‫ار ِِف ال َلهيــ ِل هر َ هبـه‬‫نز‬
‫ه ه‬ ‫ه‬ ُ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه ه ه ه ه ه ه‬
Greetings of peace upon the one who visited his Lord in the night,
so He gave him what is desired in every aspiration
ْ ْ ‫ن قال للضب مـ‬ ْ ‫ســـَلم عــَل مـ‬
‫اّللِ أ هنــت مح َ همـــ ِد‬
‫ول َ ه‬
ُ ‫ال هر ُســـ‬
‫ف ه هقــــ ه‬ ‫ن أ ه هنا‬
‫ه ه ه‬ ‫ه ه ه ه ه ه ه ِ َه َِ ه‬
Greetings of peace upon the one who said to the lizard, “Who am I?”

ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ ْ
So he replied, “The Messenger of God, you are Muhammad.”
ْ ْ
‫صه ُ الرْحن ِبال هفض ِل و المج ِد‬
‫خ َه‬
‫همـن ه‬ ‫ط ْيـب هة‬
‫ه‬ ‫ســ هَلم ع هَل الـمدف ُـ ْو ِن ِِف أ ه ْر ِض‬
‫ه ه‬ ُ ‫َه ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬
Greetings of peace upon the one buried in the land of Taybah

ْ ْ
and the one who was distinguished by the Merciful with graciousness and nobility

‫فهط ُـــــ ْوب لِع ْبد هزار هق ْبــــر مح َ همـــ ِد‬ ‫ن و الـبـا‬ ْ ‫الــح‬
‫س‬ ‫اّلل ِب‬ ‫هن ِبــــي حبــاه‬
‫ه ه ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه ه‬ ‫ُ ِ ه هه‬ ُ ‫َ ه ه ُ َه‬
A Prophet that was favored by God with goodness and beauty.

ْ ْ
So glad tidings for a servant who has visited the grave of Muhammad
ْ ْ
‫ب مح َ همـــ ِد‬ِ ‫فهبـ َِلغ ســـ هَل ِمي لِلـح ِبيــ‬ ‫ــاص ًدا‬
ِ ‫ك هبــا هنحو الــ هم ِدينهـ ِة هق‬
ِ ‫أ ه هيــا ر‬
‫ه ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬
O you riding towards al-Madina intending,

ْ ْ
convey me Salam to the beloved Muhammad
ْ ْ
‫و ِف ْيا هش هفـا هقل ِبي و ر ْو ِح و راح ِت ْي‬ ‫ح ْسنهى ال ُمنهاي و بغي ِتي‬ ْ
ُ ‫ِِف هرو هض ِت ِه ال‬
‫ه ه ه‬ ُ ‫ه‬ ‫ه ه‬ ‫ه ه ُ ه‬
In his beautiful Rawdah is my hope and desire
and in it is the cure for heart and spirit, and my comfort

 ْ ‫فت ْمــثاَلـــــا لي أ‬ ْ ْ
‫حـسن صــــ ْور ِة‬ ‫هِ ه ُه‬ ‫فهــإن ب ُعـ هدت عنَِــي و ع َ هز مزار ههـــا‬
‫ه‬ ُ ُ ‫ه ه َه ه ه‬ ُ ‫ه ه ه ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬
If it became distant and difficult for me to visit,

ْ ْ
then the image that I hold within me is the best of pictures
ْ
‫فهي ْســل ُ ْو ِِبـا ل ُ َِبي و ِس ِري و مهج ِتـي‬ ‫ـن ر ْو ِض هها‬ ْ
ِ‫ي ِِف حُس ه‬
ِ ‫ــع‬‫ط ْر هف ال‬
‫أ ُ هن ِ َزه ُ ه‬
‫ه َ ه ُ ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬
I delight my eyes in its beautiful Rawdah, so my heart,

ْ ْ
innermost soul, and core become free from all worries and grief
ْ
‫أ ُ هق َِبـل ُـ ههــا هش ْوقًــــا ِ ِلش هفـــا ِء ِع َله ِتــ ْي‬ ‫ف ه ههــا أ ه هنــا يــا قُطب الــعوالِـ ِم كُ َِل ههــا‬
‫ه ه‬ ‫ه‬ ‫ه‬
So here I am O head of all creation,

ْ ْ ْ
kissing it in yearning to heal my illness
ْ
‫حـــ ْو عنَ هــا كُ َ هل هزلَ هــ ِة‬
ُ ‫ِبــا هتم‬ ‫صــَل ًة‬ ‫ب الـوج ْو ِد مح َ همـد‬
ِ ُ ‫هو هص َ ِل هع هَل ال‬
‫ط‬ ‫ــق‬
‫ه‬ ‫ه ه ِه‬ ‫ُ ُ ُ ه‬
And send your mercy upon the head of creation, Muhammad.
A mercy that will wipe from us every slip
