Q-1. Translate the Aayaat given below: 5 Marks (1 mark for each line)

٪ُ﴾ ٪ُُ‫ْال ٰع َل لم ْي َن‬

2 ُ‫رَ لب‬ ُ‫ل‬
‫ِل ل‬ ُ‫اَلْ َحمْد‬
of the worlds. the Lord (are) for Allah All praise and thanks

ُ٪﴾ ٪ُ‫نَ ْستَعليْن‬

5 َ‫اك‬
ُ َّ‫وَالي‬ ُ‫نَعْبد‬ َ‫اك‬
ُ َّ‫الي‬
We ask for help. and You alone we worship You alone

ُ ٪ُ﴾ ٪ُ‫الْم ْستَقليْ َم‬

6 َ ‫ص َر‬
ُ‫اط‬ ‫ال ل‬ ‫ُا لهْ لدنَا‬
the straight. to the path, Guide us

ُ ٪‫عَلَيْ له ْم۟ال‬ َ ْ‫ُا َنْعَم‬

ُ‫ت‬ ُ‫الَّ لذ ُيْ َن‬ َ ‫ص َر‬
ُ‫اط‬ ‫ل‬
on them; You (have) bestowed favors (of) those (The) path

ُ٪﴾ ٪ُ‫ٓال ليْ َن‬

7 َّ
ُ ‫الض‬ ُ‫وَ َل‬ ‫عَلَيْ له ُْم‬ ُ‫الْمَغْضوُْ لب‬ ُ‫غَيْ لر‬
(of) those who (of) those who earned
and nor on them not
go astray. (Your) wrath

Q-2. Answer the following questions: 5 Marks

a. How many words do you learn in Course-1 (through Salah and Grammar parts) and how
many times do they occur in the Qur’an.
Ans: We will learn 232 words in Course–1 which occur 41000 in the Qur’an.

b. We should do everything keeping Aakhirah in your mind. Which verse of Surah Al-Fatihah
teaches us this habit?
‫كُي َ ْومل ل‬
Ans:.”ُ‫ُالديْنل‬ ‫“مٰلل ل‬

c. What are the benefits in this world and in hereafter for those who offer Salah?
Ans: If we establish Salah, then Allah will give us success and prosperity. Some of them
are: Benefits for heart and mind, physical benefits, social benefits, etc. Most important
benefit: We will achieve eternal success in the hereafter, InshaAllah.

d. What are the two best sources for implementing ُ‫اكُنَ ْستَعليْن‬
Ans: The Qur’an and Ahadeeth.ُ

 e. We should be doing Dawah work. Which verses of Al-Fatihah remind us to do it?
Ans:. "ُْ‫ت ُعَلَيْ لهم‬
َ ْ‫اطُالَّ لذيْنَ ُاَنْعَم‬

Q-3. Questions on general applications of Qur’an / Adhkaar in our life. 5 Marks

i. Some people have misunderstood that the Qur'an is difficult to understand. We can say: An
easy and simple way to understand the Qur’an without confusions & difficulties is to:

a. Understand Salah, Last 7 Surahs.

b. Learn deep Arabic Grammar.
c. Learn more knowledgeable books.
d. Study Word-for-Word meanings of the Qur’an.

ii. Learning Surahs which have frequently occuring words is more important. Which part
therefore is most important than others?

a. Grammar lessons.
b. Adhan.
c. Wuzu (ablution)
d. Surah Al-Fatihah

iii. To offer Salah with Khushoo’ (humility) and Khudoo’ (submission), we shoud:

a. Learn how to pray it correctly.

b. Recite with visualization and feelings.
c. Read the Surahs and Adhkaar slowly in Salah
d. Memorize more and more Surahs

iv. We should ponder the creation of Allah. Which verse of Surah Al-Fatihah teaches us this
habit?

office, in the classroom, etc. Which Ayah helps us to ask for this in every moment of our life:

َ ‫اُالصر‬
b. ُْ‫تُعَلَيُْ لهم‬
َ ْ‫َاطُالَّ لذيْنَُاَنْعَم‬

c. ُ‫غَيْرلُالْمَغْضوْبل‬
َّ ‫وَ َل‬
d. َُ‫ُالضالليْن‬

 Q-4. Questions on applications of teamwork. 5 Marks

i. ‫ اَهللُأَكْبَ ُر‬requires that, we on the commands of Allah:

a. Just follow it in our own life.

b. Be that as it may, follow it in your family and home issues.
c. Be that as it may, follow the rules of your community
d. All are correct

ii. it is necessary to work together or as a team to execute a declaration. Which part of

followings referes to this aspect?

1. Their Messenger ْ‫رَسوْله ُم‬

2. Thus you are Righteous ‫صاللح‬ َ ْ ‫فَأَن‬

3. And we are Muslims َ‫وَن َ ْحنُم ْسللموْ ُن‬

4. And Allah is our Rabb ‫وَاهللُرَبُّنَا‬

5. Is she a Muslim woman? َ ْ ‫هَلُْتلل‬

Q-7. Translate the following Quranic phrases/sentences into English. Use the translation of new
words given in the brackets when you answer the question (20 Marks).

Read your book ُ )readُُ:ْ‫كُ(القْرَأ‬

َُ َ‫ُُاقْرَأُْكلتَاب‬:‫ك‬ َ ‫كلتَاب‬ .9

you and your Lord ُ ُ‫ك‬َُ ُّ‫نتُ َورَب‬َ َ ‫ُأ‬:‫ربُّك‬ . 10

for me and for you ُ ُُ‫ك‬ َُ َ‫ُُل ل ْي ُ ُوَل‬:‫ك‬َ َ‫ل‬ . 11

I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you َُ ‫ُأَعوذ ُب لالرَّ ْحمَـ ٰ لنُمل‬:‫ك‬
ُ ُ ‫نك‬ َ ْ ‫ملن‬ . 12

ُ
from your Lord ُ ُ ْ‫ُمل ْنُرَّب لكم‬:ْ‫رَب لكم‬ . 13

and among you is His Messenger ُ ُٗ‫ُوَفليْكمْ ُرَسوْله‬:ْ‫فليكم‬ . 14

For you (is) your religion, ُ ُ ْ‫ُلَكمُْدليْنكم‬:ْ‫لَكم‬ . 15

Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord َ َّ‫ُإلن‬:‫رب لي‬

ُ ُ ُْ‫ُاِلَُرَب ليُ َورَبُّكم‬ . 16

then he is of me ُ ‫ُ فَإلنَّهُ لمن لي‬:‫لمنلي‬ . 17

This is Our book ُ )thisُ:‫ُهَـ َٰذاُكلتَابنَاُ(هٰ َذا‬:‫كلتَابنَا‬ . 18

and He is our Lord ُ ‫ُ َوه َو ُ َر ُّبنَا‬:‫ر ُّبنَا‬ . 19
