1. In this age of the internet where businesses are encouraged to go paperless it is


speculated that one of the industries that will be seriously affected is the newspaper
industry. What strategies do you believe can save newspaper companies from
extinction?
ANSWER: To that company printing out some newspapers, they can also use social media to
post news, at the same time they can print out few newspapers to sale out in the market. Many
people in our country still likes written in the paper than in social media.

2. Why strategy implementation often is considered the most difficult stage in the
strategic management process?
ANSWER: Strategy implementation is important for the achievement of organizational
objectives. Mere crafting a strategy is not sufficient for achieving organizational objectives; it
needs to be implemented properly. So, strategy implementation helps measure management's
efficiency of an organization.

3. How can strategist’s best ensure that their strategies will be effectively
implemented?
ANSWER: To guarantee those succeeding strategy all leaders must the first follow the strategy
they implemented so that those under on their line will follow.

4. Peter Drucker, a management theorist and practitioner says the most important
time to seriously reexamine the firm’s vision/mission is when the firm is very
successful. Why is this?
ANSWER: According to Drucker, the most important time to seriously reexamine the firm’s
vision/mission is when the firm is very successful. It is because in the current time, each and
every business organizations or firm reexamine their organizational strategic vision, mission and
strategies annually or on a specific period of time in order to observe and analyze the desired
objectives. Reexamining the mission and vision on a regular basis or annually can provide the
strategic direction as well as accurate outcomes to the companies. It is because it would not
provide a clear picture about the success of organizations otherwise. In addition to this, if a
company reexamines their strategic vision and mission when the firm is very successful, the
organizations can effectively evaluate and examine the strategies as well as success of the
organization and reposition their brand message through modifications in their product,
marketing and strategic intent. Moreover, reexamining the vision and mission when the firm is
very successful, the company would also be able to evaluate the desired goals and objectives that
were designed by the company for the fulfillment of organizational vision and mission.

5. Gaining the number one spot in industry leadership involves developing the best
strategy. Sometimes strategies can become so deeply entwined with unethical
practices just to be the strongest competitor. What is your opinion on the ethics of
gathering competitive intelligence?

ANSWER: Gathering information by not disclosing who you are to a competitor or by lying
would be considered unethical, but it’s not illegal. The best competitive intelligence
professionals don’t conduct their practice through illegal or unethical means. You don’t need to
go to illegal or unethical means to gather information about your competition. There is extensive
competitive intelligence data available online that you can gather about your competitors -
legally and ethically.
