GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The “Water ingress” is an important issue with respect to concrete corrosion & seepage on
building roofs. In general roofs are flate and built on a concrete & Metal re-bar resting side
walls. During Manson or water spillage, water penetrates into Concrete and due to gravity
seeps out in side of building through roof & side walls. And start corrosion in metal re-bar
results structure looses strengths.

926 Stangard Water Seal system is the right

solution for same.

926 Stangard Water Seal is a 2- component Epoxy-

Tar system that cures at room temperature to a tough
rubber – like material, remaining flexible at
temperatures down to even -5oC.

It adheres to a variety of materials such as metals,

concrete, wood, fiber glass and many others.

Due to its low sensitivity to humidity it can also be used for coatings in thin layers and has a
remarkably high tensile and tear strength.

Application:

Pretreatment of the surface

1) The surfaces must be clean, dry and Sound.
2) Old paint residues, oil, grease, dust and dirt must be removed.
3) Rough the Dry concrete by abrasive disc pad.

Temperature limits and humidity

The surface temperature of the concrete ring and shell should be above 5° C in order to get a
quick adhesion. To achieve this in colder temperatures, a hot air blower can be used. It is
preferable in colder temperatures to have the materials preheated to 25°C or up.
Temperatures should not exceed 45°C. When humidity is too high and surface gets wet,
surface needs to be dried. Concrete shows a longer tendency to be wet.

Safety
Safety clothing, helmets and goggles should be worn during application.

Storage &Self life

Store 926 Stangard water Seal at room temperature (+25°C) in a dry place. Unopened
containers can be stored for 12 months after delivery at temperatures from +18°C to +25°C.
Opened containers must be used within 1 months.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Products:
i) 920 Stangard base coat
ii) 926 Stangard water Seal
iii) 7824 Membranel

Application procedure:
1) Remove all loose material from concrete base.
2) Clean & roughened both the surfaces metal part and concrete base.
3) Inspect the surface…surface should be free from dust, dirt, oil, moisture, loose particles
and other foreign particles.
4) Repair the concrete cracks (if present) by using 750 Stanfloor repair.
5) Apply the 920 Stangard base coat on surface with 4 sqmtr/ltr spreading rate.
6) Wait for 12-16 Hrs So that primer film cured.

7) Rough the cured film of 920 Stangard with 80 no. emery paper and clean lose dust dirt
by clean cloth or high pressure air jet.
8) Make solution of 926 Stangard by mixing Part-A and Part-B, stir well for 10 min.
9) Apply the 926 Stangard solution with using brush 2.75-3.0 sqmtr/Ltr Spreading rate.
10) Stick 7824 Membrane on wet film of 926 Stangard and apply roller on it, so that
membrane merge into 926 Stangard wet film.
11) Wait for 3-4 hrs.
12) Over coat with 926 Stangard with 1.7-1.8 sqmtr/ltr spreading rate. .
13) Inspect the surface of applied system… if found any pin-hole or ir-regularities; repair the
same with using 926 Stangard. Provide 36-48 Hrs drying time.
