Event objects (02, 22, 32) must be associated with DNP classes (classes 1.2 or 3) via
parameterization software and generate information on object 80 (internal indications – IIN
showing that there are events of a class available). The equipment must allow associating an
object with a class.

The protocol DNP3 time sync period parameter must be configurable (in minutes) in the
configuration software only.

After the period has elapsed, the IIN – Need Time indicator (flag) must be turned on. This
indicator must be turned on when the equipment is restarted and after the parameterized
period has elapsed and turned off after the supervisor sent a write command for time (object
50).

The device should turn on the Device Restart indicator when it starts up and turn it off when
receive a “Clear Restart” information.
