PARKING AND LOADING SPACE REQUIREMENTS:

this is the standard requirements for parking based on Building Code of the Philippines

v Size of average parking are is 2.4mx5m for perpendicular or diagonal parking.

v 2mx6m for parallel parking.
v Truck or bus parking shall have minimum of 3.6mx12m.

PARKING REQUIREMENTS
TYPE OF OCCUPANCY
Low income single detached living unit with Pooled parking: 1 slot/10 units
individual lots not more than 100m²
Multi-family living units regardless of no. of stories 1 slot/8 units
with average living floor area of 50m²
Multi-family living units regardless of no. of stories 1 slot/ 4 units
with average living floor area of above 50m² to
100m²
Multi-family living units regardless of no. of stories 1 slot/ unit
with average living floor area of more than 100m²
Hotels 1 slot/ 10 rooms
Residential hotels and aparteles 1 slot/ 5 units
Motels 1 slot/ unit
Shopping centers 1 slot/ 100m²
Markets 1 slot/ 150m²
Restaurants, fast food outlets, bars and 1 slot/ 30m² of customer area
beerhouses
Nightclubs, supper clubs and theater-restaurants 1 slot/ 20m² of customer area Blog Archive
Office building 1 slot/ 125m² of gross floor area

SPECIAL PROVISIONS:
v 1 accessible parking lot for 50-150 slots and an additional slot for every 100 thereafter.

LOADING SLOT REQUIREMENTS:

TYPE OF OCCUPANCY LOADING REQUIREMENTS

Stores, manufacturing, mercantile, wholesale and the 1 loading slot for every 5000m² of gross floor
like area (minimum of 1 truck loading slot)
Hotels and hospitals 1 truck loading slot

hi.. please indicate specific section of NBP for the source of information. This seems not to match information found
under table VII.4 for car parking requirements, or am I looking at the wrong information.

Hi, for restaurants, it should be 1 slot/20sqm of customer area (5.2 Division E-2, p322 of the NBC, 6th Edition 2013)

you can buy the NBC from a bookstore. If not, there is always a free pdf copy lurking in the internet. The table for the
ratio of parking slots is in rule 7 of the NBC. Also, check out BP344 for the separate parking slot requirements for the
disabled.
