My son craig's a slob. It's terrible.

He's 35 and he still lives at home with his num an dad. He isn't married and we- his dad, his
brother and I-do everything for him.

He has a good job and a car but he doesn't want to leave home. He likes it here with us. It's
terrible because he doesn't go shopping, he doens't clean the hause, he doent's wash the dishes
and he never cooks dinner. He doens't have any hobbies. He doens't do any sports and he never
goes out at nigth. He doesn't go to the cinema, he doesn't, he doesn't go dancing, he doesn't
listen to music. It's not surprising that he doesn't have any friends. He doens't even have a
girlfriend! Oh yes, he has one thing-lots of free time, and he sits on the sofa and watches
television and plays video games. That's all! He's so lazy- he doesn't even have a shower every
day!

A survey in the news today shows that young people prefer going online to doing sport. They
also like watching TV, spending time with friends and shopping.

Most young people between the ages of 18 and 25 say they love surfing the internet, and only
20% say they perfer doing sport to sitting in front of the computer. They all agree about the top
three most unpopular activities: getting up early, cleaning the hause and washing the dishes. But
most people say they do these things at least once a week. Some people, about 40%, also say
they hate cooking. Only 5% say they hate studying.

I love my new home. It's a big house with lots of light and a beautiful view of the river. It has
three bedrooms and two bathrooms. My favourite thing is the terrace. We eat out there in

A bed for the night?

This week look at a new hotel concept: mini-hotels.

They're easy on the pocket, but still offer a good night's sleep.

The firts photo shows a Japanese- style capsule hotel. The room really is this small! But there's
a satelite TV, a reading ligth and free Wi-Fi if you want to check your email.

The room in the second photo is huge in comparison! There's space for three people, with a
double bed below and a small single bed above, and a shower room in the corner.

Both hotels cheap, clean and modern. They are usually in airports or near motorways and are
perfect when all you need is a bed for the nigth.

They look alike, but...!

On the outside they look exactly the same, but on the inside they're very different children. Meet
identical twins Marcia and Madeleine Carlisle, 5 years old. All they have in common, it seems,
are their looks and the fact they can both speak Spanish and English!

Marcia is the academic one. She finds easy to learn languages, she gets top marks in Maths and
English and she can read for hours and hours without getting bored. But when it comes to
physical activity, she just can't compete with her sister.

Madeleine doesn't like reading and studying. She can't sit still for one second. But she can
swim, she can ski, she can ride a bike and now she wants to try other sports.

Their parents can't believe it. 'They're so different', says mother Charlene. 'Madeleine can do all
these sports and she can play the guitar. Marcia can't do those things yet, but she's really good at
the academic side. The great thing is that there's no conflict or arguments. They both know that
they are good at different things.
