4. What are the implications for learning? What works best for reluctant learners?
Based on our interviews, the three students and two parents agreed that face-to-face
learning is better compared to modular learning. It has implications for the students'
comprehension performance, knowing that it is simply a plain reading. These students may not
understand what they are answering right away, prompting them to seek assistance from their
parents, classmates, and friends. This only proves that they require More Knowledgeable Others
(MKOs). However, it's encouraging to hear from those parents that they're doing their part as
guardians by retrieving, submitting, and even answering the modules if necessary. Simply put, if
students are guided by people they believe can assist them in their modules and have devices
such as cellphones as well as a stable internet bandwidth, they will benefit. Of course, parents
should set limits for their children, particularly when it comes to cellphone use (only if they
have). Teachers, on the other hand, must know how to simplify the activities they assign to
students in order to ensure proper learning transfer.
