The First Age:

With the planes and the 16 Gods established within the Verse, the game for dominance began.
Monsters and beasts, of all type and thought, were sent from their created planes, to the PMP, in
order to claim it for their ‘side’, the Gods themselves occasionally confronting each other with them.
The Modrons, fought against the Fey. The Celestials fought the Fiends. Metallic Dragons fought their
Chromatic opposites. Constructs against Beast. Before long though, it was clear that this was only the
path to destruction. The creations of the Gods were too powerful, too extreme, the PMP would not
survive the constant onslaught, which pushed its very matter to the extreme. The power need to rip
holes in the fabric of the Verse, was causing inconsistencies in the Gods’ creations. Soon Demons
would struggle with Devils, and the chaotic Fey would attack the more order-inclined Celestials. Not
only did the Gods begin to turn on each other, but the Verse itself fought back.
The fracturing of the Verse led to beings outside of the Verse to manifest. Thoughts that the original
Thought hadn’t contained, the ruminations of Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil. These were unknowns.
Abjurations.
While the Gods trapped in the Verse continued to rage, those outside, Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil,
could see their game diverging into ruin. Unable to remove any of their creations, their pieces, from
the ‘board’, they implemented a shield, into the Verse. This shield heavily restricted the power their
pieces had over the PMP, and attempted to limit head-on interaction between Gods in the future, by
setting them a finite pool of Thought’s power.
The damage to the PMP, and to the Verse was already done, and unable to undo any of their
creations’ creations, many of the Dragons, Celestials, and Fiends still walk in the PMP, some
attempting to return to their home-plane, others continuing the war their masters had charged them
with.
Needless to say, the First Age, was an age of Destruction, where newly formed Gods, far surpassed
the limits of what the Verse could handle, and as a result, the original Gods had to cap the power of
the Planes, attempted to limit direct confrontation between Gods, and shielded the PMP from
massive other-planer activity.
The following rules were thought into existence by Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil:

1. Gods could only visit their neighbouring planes


2. Power has a threshold
3. Each God is allowed a creation, under the guise of the, newly specified, ‘Humanoid’ race
4. The implementation of the divine shield, cutting off, or heavily restricting, the direct
influence of the Planes and their inhabitants, on one another.
5. Law, Chaos, Good and Evil, will only intervene, when the fate of the Verse (game), is at
stake.

As this was decreed, the 16 began the creation of their race, whilst the PMP began to adapt and
repair, regrow and reform, under its new rules. During this creation time, those trapped in the PMP
continued to exist and affect the environments in which they existed. Some breeding, some fighting,
some settling, it is unknown as to where these creatures are now.
