Competencies among Street Food Vendor: Hepa Lane in Legazpi City

Overview:

Street foods are ready-to-eat foods or drinks in a certain area where it can be on a street
or in a public area. It is sold by hawkers or vendors. Most street food vendors are known as
finger food and fast food. They are cheaper than average restaurant meals. It is frequently sold
from a portable food stand, food cart, or food truck and is intended for immediate consumption.
Street foods are also known as delicious and affordable food.

Street food mirrors the tradition and culture of people that is why it has different kinds in
every country. And because of its low cost and convenience, millions of low- and middle-
income consumers eat street food especially in rural areas. It also leads to authentic tourist
culinary experiences, offering a connection between food, place, and tourism.

Each street food business is usually small in size, needs simple skills, minimal facilities
and small amounts of capital, thus they are very numerous and have significant income and job
creation potential. Selling in the streets has been found to be a source family meal. Street
vendors also create jobs for staff, transportation operators, storage suppliers, and others, not just
for themselves. Some of those who find work in the street food industry, are having a difficulty
in obtaining jobs in the formal sector.

Objectives:

Due to the continuous emerging of innovation and technology in the learning process of
education this study aims to:

 Determine the factors being considered in recruiting students online.


 Enumerate the strengths and weaknesses of e-recruitment.
 Find out the SRA students’ perceptions about student’s online application.
 Propose recommendations that is best suitable to the recruitment process of St. Raphael
Academy

Deliverable Outcomes:
Internet is now the trend in recruiting thus, coping with it will make a business more
competitive and profitable among others. This study wants to promote e-recruiting system in St.
Rafael Academy in order to cope up with the different schools present here in Legazpi. To help
the school establish the best marketing strategy in attracting and recruiting students that will
surely be beneficial to the school’s institution.

Target Audience:

Since e-recruitment is best suitable and beneficial to k-12 especially among incoming
senior high who need to choose the school that offer the track they preferred the most we decided
to make the incoming grade 11 students who are currently in grade 10 to be our target audience.
If possible, the researchers will also include some of the schoolteachers and the school principal
to be their respondents in order to gather reliable and credited information.

Sample Plan:

The researchers target respondents are all the grade 10 students. If not possible at least 50
grade 10 students will do. The researchers are going to distribute their checklist questionnaires
among them and will conduct an after interview to verify the respondents respond.

Research Methods:

The researchers will apply qualitative and descriptive research method in order to
describe, interpret, explain and contextualize the respondents’ respond about e-recruitment that
will help the researchers achieve its objectives and make accurate recommendations suitable for
their target beneficiary. A checklist questionnaire on the other hand is the chosen method of data
collection for this study to collect relevant and enough data regarding the topic. Aside from that
the researchers plan to conduct an after interview after distributing the checklist questionnaires to
the respondents in order to record and verify their respond with regard the topic. They will also
find related literature and studies that have in dept connection with their topic. All data gathered
will be taken with careful care by the researchers.
Timeline:

The research started on the second semester of grade 11 students and will last before
finals of the semester. It is a must that before that the researchers will be able to finish their
research on time effectively and efficiently.

Budget:

The budget would not be less than 500 pesos. The money would be allotted for all the
expenses that the researchers may spend before, during and after conducting the research like for
example the transport expense and the entrance money in visiting libraries of different
universities, printing out and providing all the materials needed in the research and other
expenses.

Ethical & Further Considerations:

Before conducting the research, the researchers will first propose their research plan to
ask for approval. After the approval they will proceed in making for a formal letter asking
permission for a data gathering that they are going to conduct. The researchers will respect the
respect the respondent’s confidentiality and all data gathered will be taken with utmost care.
