Performance Task 3
PRACTICAL RESEARCH 2: Quantitative

WEEK 3
Quarter 2: Module 5 to 8-Week 5 & 8

Transfer Goal: Student will be continuing the research paper, which includes Statistical
Treatment of Data. Also, comments and suggestions of the Field Research Trainers on the
previous parts must be observed in the research paper.
Role
Field Research Trainee
Audience
Department Head of Planning and Research Division and Field Research Trainers of the City
of Malabon.
Transfer Task Scenario Goal (Situation): You are expected to continue the research paper
approved by the Planning and Research Division. You are advised to have the research paper
checked by the Field Research Trainers from time-to-time for possible revision on your
paper, if necessary. The following tasks must be exercised.
Previous Activity Tasks
1. Choose appropriate quantitative research design
2. Describes sampling procedure and sample
3. Construct an instrument and establishes its validity and reliability
4. Describe intervention (if applicable)
5. Write the instrument to be used, its validation process, as well as the procedures in
gathering the data

New Activity Tasks


6. Formulates recommendation
7. Plans data analysis using statistics and hypothesis testing
8. Collects data using appropriate instruments
9. Presents and interprets data in tabular or graphical forms

(Note: Each task is needed in order to accomplish the final output being required by the Planning and Research
Division Office.)
PRODUCT
Each trainee will be presenting the continued research paper output containing of the
following: 1) Research Design, 2) Population and Sampling of the Study, 3) Research
Instrument, 4) Validation of Research Instrument, 5) Data Gathering Procedure, and 6)
Statistical Treatment of Data to the Head of Planning and Research Division and Field
Research Trainers of the city.
