I. Objectives:

At the end of the discussion, the pupils are expected to:

 Count numbers 1 to 1000.

 Visualize and orders numbers up to 1000 in increasing or decreasing order.

 Describes the different types of numbers (, whole number, odd and even numbers and
ordinal numbers).

 Discuss their understanding of whole numbers.

 Classify the number if it is an odd or even number.

 Identify and list ordinal numbers from 1st through the 20th

 Recognize the place values of every digit based on their location within a 2 to 3 digit
numbers

 Create numbers by putting digits in places with specific values.

 Develop the rules or characteristics, by adding and subtracting integers.


 Solve problems using the different operations of whole numbers.

 Apply the addition, subtraction and multiplication of whole numbers up to 1000


including money in mathematical problems and real life situations

III. Procedure

A. preparatory activities

 The teacher will start the day with a greeting for the student.

 The teacher will assign one from the students to lead the prayer.

 The teacher will start an energizer.

 The teacher will proceed on monitoring the attendance.

B. Motivation

 To test the prior knowledge of the pupils, teacher will encourage them to join a short
game that is related to the discussion for the day.

C. Presentation

 Introduce the lesson to the pupils by showing some related things to them then ask;

 What do you observe about the activity


D. Discussion

 The teacher will discuss what is a number sense a whole number, the odd and even
numbers and ordinal numbers.

 The teacher will show a different example of number sense, whole numbers, the odd and
even numbers and ordinal numbers.

 The teacher will discuss about the place value, and show examples how to determine the
place value of a number.

 The teacher will discuss how to solve numbers using the four operations of whole
numbers.

 Teacher will use money to demonstrate and solve using the operations of whole numbers
(addition and subtraction).

 The teacher will let the student participate and solve the problems and ask some
questions.

Generalization

 What are the whole numbers?

 Give examples of odd and even numbers.

 Count using ordinal numbers from 1st to 20th.
