It is a food recommended in case of intolerance to wheat, oats, barley or


rye flour, it favors the growth of children, its consumption is
recommended during the first years of life helping the development of
brain cells and strengthening memory.

PROCESS
The flours can be made from raw, roasted or germinated seeds. The amaranth
grain is previously conditioned and passed through a thermal treatment (roasting)
at 168ºC in order to improve its organoleptic characteristics and digestibility.
Afterwards, it is ground to obtain the following fractions: breakage, reduction, grain
and bran. The flour is obtained from the same process, from the sieving by mesh
N° 40 finally it is mixed and uniformed to obtain the final product.

DESCRIPTION
Amaranth flour is a product that can easily be ingested by children and older
adults, is the complement in fruit juices, milk, yogurt and by its characteristics can
be used in the preparation of soups and fried foods, or in the confectionery and
bakery for the preparation of cookies, breads, cakes and others. It is gluten free.
