1. HAND WASH
1.1. Removes excess jewellery
1.2. Wets hands with water
1.3. Applies enough liquid plain soap to cover all of hands
1.4. Rubs hands together vigorously to distribute soap to palms, back of
hands, fingers and between fingers ( 7 steps )
1.5. Total hand wash time 40-60 Seconds
1.6. Rinses hands under running water & turns off tap (only - if not hand
operated tap handles)
1.7. Thoroughly dries hands with hand towel paper
1.8. If required turns off tap with hand towel paper in hand
1.9. Disposes of handtowel paper in bin
2. ALCOHOL BASED HAND RUB (ABHR)
2.1. Removes excess jewellery
2.2. Squirts ABHR into cupped hands (enough to ensure all hand
surfaces are covered - approx. 10ml)
2.3. Rub to distribute over palms, back of hands, fingers and between
fingers ( 7 steps )
2.4. Total ABHR time 20-30 Seconds
2.5. Rub until hands have dried
