1. We are most pleased to formally announce the list of ten qualifiers for the Semi-Final Round of
the Quiz Bee, scheduled for Saturday, 30 October, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. for grade school,
and from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. for high school. The team scores shall be given to the club
moderators upon request.

2. We reiterate the three components of the Semi-Final Round:

A News Report, Live, on an event of the team’s choice within the reference chapters; maximum of three
minutes, with scores ranging from 5 to 25. Five extra points shall be awarded for the teams that submit a
clean video version.

A question from a judge of the team’s choice on their News Report, to be answered by the members of
the team on Zoom.

An essay question on the chapter reference, randomly chosen by the team, to be answered by the
members of the team, still on Zoom. The two question-answers above shall be given a score between 5
and 20.

3. We reiterate that the deadline for the Art Summit has been set for the 15th of October.
Please note the announcement that the judging of the Art Entries shall be done by category via
Zoom, where entry participants shall be expected to do their presentation/explanation on-line.
The criteria for judging, in general, shall include the work submitted and the way it is presented
or explained.

The schedule for judging of the five categories via Zoom will be announced through the group
chat.
