Greetings in the name of development!

The College of Education is one of the colleges in Mindanao State University-

General Santos. We envision to produce not just academically-smart Mentors but also
competent and functionally literate students in the community. With this pursuit, we are
running the Media Literacy Webinar for secondary education students as a prerequisite
activity under the subject CPE 109: Building and Enhancing Literacy Skills Across the
Curriculum.

CPE 109 is a course that introduces students to the concept of new literacies in
the 21st century as evolving social phenomena and shared cultural practice across
learning areas. Moreover, this subject requires students to undergo a webinar regarding
the different literacies in the 21st century, and one of those is Media Literacy.

In line with this, we humbly invite you to do a Welcome Address as part of the
program in the said webinar on December 15, 2021- Wednesday- 9:15 - 9:20 A.M. Your
presence and wisdom will be an inspiration for us and especially for future educators of
the College.
