For data transfer from the PC to the Minidiag 2 the
diagnostic unit must be set as follows:
Minidiag II
1 Minidiag info
2 ecu search routine
3 PC communication
14
4.5. ECU search routine
Minidiag II
1 Minidiag info – Connect Minidiag 2 (see page 9).
2 ecu search routine – The main menu is displayed.
3 PC communication – Place cursor on "ecu search routine".

4.6. Show ecu information
Ecu list
1 ADM fault text – Carry out ecu search routine (see page 15).
2 PLD fault text – Place cursor on relevant ecu (e.g. PLD).
3 FMR no fault text
16
4.7. Program accelerator pedal
No constant signal values are assigned to the
accelerator-pedal stops (idling, full throttle). This is
why the accelerator pedal must be programmed into
the vehicle ecu. This procedure stores the
accelerator-pedal stops in the ecu’s non-volatile
memory. The programming must be repeated when
the accelerator pedal or the ecu is replaced.
Ecu list
– Make sure accelerator pedal is in idling position.
1 ADM fault text – Carry out ecu search routine (see page 15).
– Place cursor on vehicle ecu (e.g. ADM or FMR).

4.8. Set parameters
The Minidiag 2 diagnostic unit allows two types of
parameter settings to be carried out:
• setting of individual parameters,
• setting of parameter blocks.
4.8.1. Set individual parameters
19
– The parameters of the selected parameter group
ADM ParGroup 2 are shown.
