09 Quiz 01

Instructions: Based on the inhibitor of empowerment your group is assigned with, come up
with a scenario that represents it and explain in detail why the chosen inhibitor is present. In
five (5) to seven (7) sentences, create at least three(3) realistic solutions to address the chosen
inhibitor of empowering frontline employees in the tourism and hospitality industry. Your
output shall be uploaded under 09 Quiz 1 – ARG Drop box. Your group may use another Word
document for this.

I. Scenario

Aliyah, the BAS restaurant's service quality manager, was moved to another branch. She
finds it more difficult since the new branch to which she was transferred is inconvenient;
she has difficulty adjusting to her new surroundings, which has an impact on her job
performance.

II. Explanation

One of the challenges to empowerment is employee and union resistance. The

aforementioned inhibitor is present in the offered scenario since Aliyah has been relocated
to a different branch of their organization and is having difficulty adjusting to her new
surroundings.

III. Three Realistic Solution

1. Since Aliyah is new in her job, she will simply get used to it. That has happened to a lot
of employees. She may well be able to make new pals at work in a few days or weeks.

2. If she is genuinely uncomfortable and finding it hard to adjust, she may request to her
boss to reassign her to prior to the office or branch that she finds comfortable to work
with. If her boss doesn't agree with her decision, she must either stay or quit.

3. Encourage herself to concentrate on her work and to be polite and accessible in order to
make more friends. Always keep in mind that it's common to feel uncomfortable and
anxious about working in a new place with new coworkers on the first day or week, but
you'll get over it after you get to know your coworkers. Aliyah will simply adjust to her
new employment and the new individuals she encounters on a daily basis.
