Config Manager for INTRON-D plus

Main features
 Visual representation, checking and
evaluation of INDUSTRONIC system
configurations

 Clearly structured system components

 Syntax and semantic check of all data

entered

 Intuitive user interface

 Integrated online help

Config Manager, INDUSTRONIC’s configuration software allows for the parameterization of the industrial
INTRON-D plus communication and public address system. Configure basic voice connections or complex warning
sequences. All functions can be defined using the intuitive user interface. The configuration can than be checked for
correctness using a syntax and semantic check.

Any data contained in the project can be summarized and clearly arranged. The Config Manager is supplied together
with an USB dongle and can only be run in combination with it.

Clear User Interface

The user interface has a clearly structured and

consistent design for intuitive user actions thus
simplifying your work considerably. The entire project
is arranged in a clear navigation tree, for example.

You can also customize the user interface according

to your needs.

Easily Move Objects with Drag and Drop

In many views, you can move data and interface

elements with drag and drop.

With drag and drop, you can organize complex alarm

scenarios and warning sequences, for example (see
figure at the left). To do this, simply select a
command and drag it into the workspace. When
releasing the item, it is automatically positioned at
the right place.

Automatic Validity Check

The software assists you. Receive direct feedback

when entering data. This helps to avoid wrong data
input in advance.

A red circle next to the input field indicates that the

values you entered are wrong, for example. A short
help text displays information on the correct input of
parameters.

Context Menus

In many views, you can invoke context menus, where you

can choose only from those functions that are possible in
this context.

Reports and Prints

You can clearly summarize many project data and

configurations in reports.

All reports provided can be exported in Excel, Word or

PDF format and can be saved or printed for further use.
This way, you can enclose current project data to your
project documentation.

Online Help and Tooltips

The Config Manager has an integrated online help,

always accessible, which explains the most important
functions in more detail.

In many views, you can access the context-sensitive

online help, that is you obtain the information which is
helpful in the current context.

 High air flow rate

 Adjustable threshold

 Temperature monitoring

1 FC 01 fan controller unit Fan with filter housing

The temperature-controlled cabinet fan unit provides adequate air ventilation and cooling in an INDUSTRONIC
central exchange cabinet. Due to the adjustable temperature threshold, the fan runs only at maximum speed, if
necessary.

In stand-by mode, the fan runs at minimum speed to ensure low air convection especially when using batteries in the
cabinet. In addition, the fan controller has a monitoring output indicating that the temperature is within an acceptable
range and the fan unit in operation.

NSG 001
IP Interface for Analog Systems

Features and Functions

 Interface to analog systems, with galvanic
isolation

 3 potential-free inputs and outputs

 Expandable to up to 27 potential-free
inputs and outputs

 Alternative wiring:
bidirectional inputs/outputs

 4-wire AF interface with adjustable AF

level
08/08 NAIO 001 03/03 NSG 001  Continuous monitoring of network
interface

 PoE and/or external power supply

 Integrated web interface for setting and

service functions

The IP interface of the NSG 001 series is used to connect an INDUSTRONIC INTRON-D plus communication and
public address system to analog systems from different manufacturers. It consists of the basic electronics
03/03 NSG 001 which can be expanded by 3 I/O modules of the NAIO series. The IP interface can be easily installed
into a central exchange cabinet or an appropriate housing.
Connection to an IP network is established via an Ethernet connection (LAN). Galvanic isolation between network
and analog side prevents cross currents between network and the interconnected systems and thus ensures a
flexible and safe integration.
The integrated web interface facilitates commissioning and maintenance. It can be remotely accessed and controlled
via a standard web browser. The AF levels between the two interconnected systems can be displayed and adjusted
via web interface, for example.

Modular Design
For the basic version 3 potential-free inputs and outputs are available. Furthermore, up to 3 I/O modules can be
connected and thus 27 inputs and outputs can be used. This way, the IP interface provides highest flexibility for
different customer and project requirements.

Single-phase Change-over Switch with Mains Monitoring

Figure 1: Block diagram 9 NUS 230

The single-phase change-over switch, 9 NUS 230, switches from the priority mains supply (mains 1) to a second
protected mains (mains 2 (e.g. an UPS) via a contactor if the voltage at mains 1 is too high, too low or missing. After
the correct voltage returns to mains 1, the change-over switch automatically switches back to the priority mains
supply. The switching thresholds for mains overvoltage and undervoltage can be adjusted over a broad range to
customer and mains requirements.

4 DAP
Digital Audio Processor

Main features
• Initialization and management of up to
four independent digital voice channels
with 64 kBit/s each
• Management of up to 250 different tracks

• Standard medium with 256 MB for

8 hours recording time, expandable up to
512 MB with 17 hours
• Green LED to indicate operation, red LED
to indicate failures

• One green LED per voice channel to

indicate recording or playback

The digital audio processor 4 DAP is a part of the INDUSTRONIC communication and public address system with
digital interfaces. It is used as digital voice memory to record and play back tones and texts in various combinations.

Safety
The digital audio processor is especially significant in systems which are used for emergency purposes. It meets
highest safety requirements by complying with the standard DIN EN 60849 "Sound Systems for Emergency Pur-
poses".

Voice channel
A voice channel allows the transmission of voice and tone information from the digital audio processor to the con-
nected peripheral units.
Depending on the digital audio processor type up to four digital voice channels per 4 DAP can be operated simulta-
neously and independently from each other. Within an INDUSTRONIC communication and public address system
five digital audio processors can be operated at the same time. So up to 20 simultaneous voice channels are
possible.

Editing of audio files

The text / tone sequences are stored on an exchangeable compact flash card with a maximum of 250 different
tracks. The following tools can be used to edit the audio files:
• Any sound editor for UNIX or Windows operating systems
• The especially designed INDUSTRONIC programming package for Windows operating systems

• A digital INDUSTRONIC intercom station

Further information
The output level of the 4 DAP can be adjusted. Furthermore, the module is equipped with a service interface. The
4 DAP is supplied in two versions as 19" slide-in unit with either 3 RU or 6 RU.
