Sub: Regarding the critical issues facing the construction sector in Kerala 2021-22

The entire world is passing through a period of suffering in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
The construction sector is one of the most affected segments.

We sincerely appreciate the BAI State Chairman for all the generous efforts and supports put
forward for the improvement of the construction industry.

Builders Association of India Kollam Centre has already communicated with your good
office regarding the various issues facing the construction sector in this pathetic situation
through the letter Ref : BAIKLM/21-22/02 dated 11-06-2021 (enclosed).

It is so depressing that the State Government has so far not given any ear to the genuine
grievances of the contractors. In this circumstance, we humbly request yourself to kindly
intervene in this matter to provide us an opportunity to present these grievances and issues to
the Honorable Minister for Public Works Department, Government of Kerala,
Shri. P. A. Mohammed Riyas through a virtual meeting.
