2.TUBE
The tube is made of steel. Two tubes are welded together in a side by side
configuration to allow the capsules to travel both directions.
Pylons are placed every 100 ft to support the tube.
Solar arrays cover the top of the tubes in order to provide power to the system.
The low pressure minimizes the drag force on the capsule while maintaining the
relative ease of pumping
3.PROPULSION
Linear accelerators are constructed along the length of the tube at various
locations to accelerate the capsules.
Stators are located on the capsules to transfer momentum to the capsules via the
linear accelerators
(The speed of conventional trains — and all land based transport — is limited by
friction, both against the air ahead and the ground beneath. Hyperloop drastically
reduces friction in both of these areas.)
Depressurized tunnels create a near-vacuum environment where almost all of the air
has been sucked out. This creates an environment where extremely high speeds are
possible because there's minimal aerodynamic drag or wind resistance.
it uses compressor fan at the front of capsule. This compressor fan re-direct air
to the back of the capsule to provide additional propulsion. This redirected air is
sent to the air bearings which levitate the metal capsules above surface of tube
or
it is levitated and propelled using powerful electromagnets which considerably
reduces losses due to friction as the pods are literally gliding over the track
and are not in contact with the track
hence there are no frictional losses allwoing the train to move at high velocities
advantages of hyperloop
➨The low air pressure dramatically reduces drag so that only a relatively small
amount of electricity is needed to achieve top speeds.
➨The technology offers very fast speed of transportation which is twice that of
aircraft.
➨It is low cost transportation system on long run.
➨It is immune to bad weather conditions.
➨It is resistant to earthquakes.
progress in hyperloop
➨Virgin Hyperloop (formerly Hyperloop One) is one of the best-funded hyperloop
projects, giving it the most resources for Research and development , and in 2020,
it completed the first-ever hyperloop passenger test.
