ENGINE TYPE All types

Normally, the main engine has two Aux. blowers for assist the air flow until independent the
turbocharger running. If the case that either one of the two Aux. blower has a problem and have to
stop, the engine can be operated as per usual even though the mono running until rectify the
problem as emergency operation. If the Aux. blower is stopped, the blower is cut off automatically
(NOTE: If both are stopped, impossible starting the engine until rectify the either one of two at
least.)

In above mentioned emergency situation, to be care about the following items.

(1) Avoid the frequent repetition of the start and stop in a short period.
(2) Check Exh. temperature while running the blower. (below 430 degree C)
(3) Monitor and check the current value of the motor for Aux. blower in order to avoid the motor
burnout.

If the T/C cut running and Aux. blower mono operation are carried out simultaneously, please also
care about the following item.

(4) Do not operate the main engine at more than 10% load. (Please refer to Chapter 704 “Special
Running Conditions” of our instruction book Vol.1.)
