Profession/job/career: Criminal Defense Lawyer

Factor/s: Self and the series and books I’ve read and watched

How: Actually, I really don’t have plans in life, I just wanted to graduate and
then that’s all. However, after reading books and watching series and movies
about a lawyer, I realized what I really wanted to be.

College program/course: B.S. Psychology

Factor/s: Family

How: Actually, I really wanted to take criminology as my course,

however, when I apply for scholarship, there is no criminology in the list,
my family told me to take psychology instead. I’m also fine with that since
Psychology is also my second choice, however,it’s A.B. Psychology, not
BS., but I’m fine with that already.

go. I actually wanted at University of the Philippines, but my course isn’t
available there, so I consider taking either SLU or UC.

2. Does it help if you have the same career outlook as your family? Your friends? Why or why not?

Like what I’ve said, reading books and watching series and movies influenced me to be lawyer. Ofcourse, I feel
happy about it since I know now what to do or what my goals in life is. I’m now looking forward on the things
that I’ll do in the near future.

3. Why is it important to consider different factors (your values, goals, and preferences; family; friends; school;

For me, yes. Because I’ll be able to have an idea what to do with that field. And I could also ask my friends of
family an advice on how I can make my work good.

I think it is also important to consider different factors for us to know if we really want to take that path. It is
also good to consider the opinions of others, for us to know if we really want to take the risk.
