Other famous temples are the Akshardam, Harmandir, and the modern Lotus temple.
The Lotus Temple is famous for its towers that have balanced structure. It appears more majestic
because of its marble-white color. The shape may be different from traditional Hindu temples but it
appears as imposing and magnificent as the classical Hindu Temples.

of slam. However, Saudi Arabian art is diverse. It includes the arts of Bedouin nomads and those
from different places in the country. In spite of the diversity, what symbolizes the country’s oneness
is its architectural design of the mosques. In all Islamic countries, there is unity in principles and
elements of the art in terms of their design, rendition of the arches, and dome of their mosques
Muslim set the shape and design of the mosque as their basic art motif.
It is interesting to note that painting is not a popular art in this region. This is because the
doctrine of Islam has prohibited the depiction of human and animal figures. In some cases, however,
a painting is created when it has a mandate from authorized religious authorities.
1. Architecture
In Saudi Arabia, many architectural buildings show a relative rendition of the
motif of the mosque aesthetic design. This adaptation of the mosque design is shown not just in
