BSED-SCIENCE 2A

After reading the 1987 Philippine constitutions Article 1,2,3- 15 I therefore concluded my insight about
each articles;

ARTICLE I

National Territory

Article I states the scope and extent of the country's territory, including the internal waters; and
terrestrial, fluvial and aerial domains. Furthermore, the waters around, between, and connecting the
islands of the Philippines form part of the country's internal waters (based on the Archipelagic Doctrine).
It is the romotion of sovereignty and the protection of territorial integrity, economic growth and
development, and the well-being of Filipinos wherever they may be. These are the so-called three pillars
of Philippine foreign policy. And the most important clause would be the archipelagic doctrine. Basically,
because the Philippines is composed of several islands (an archipelago), it states that all the waters in-
between these islands also belong to the Philippines so that the national territory will be seen as
contiguous and with no gaps in-between — at least from an international law standpoint. Otherwise,
we’d have large bodies of water in-between the islands that can be classified as international waters and
are therefore free for any other countries to claim or use as passage without encroaching into Philippine
territory.

ARTICLE II

Declaration of Principles and State Policies

Article II contains 28 sections divided into two parts. The first part enumerates the principles of the State
such as the democratic and republican nature of the Philippine State; the supremacy of civilian authority
over the military; the people's duty to defend the State; separation of Church and State; and
renunciation of war as an instrument of national policy. While the second part stipulates the State
policies such as the promotion of an independent foreign policy; recognition of the youth's and women's
role in nation-building; promotion of a comprehensive rural development and agrarian reform; and the
promotion of social justice. Which it can not use it as a basis for a vested right without an enabling law.
What it does however is provide as directives assigned to the executive or legislature. And as aid of the
courts in interpreting laws or determining their validity.
ARTICLE III

Bill of Rights

Article III recognizes the individual rights of the Filipino people and guarantees its protection against
abuses. Included in the bill of rights are: due process of law; equal protection of the laws; protection
against unreasonable searches and seizures; right to privacy of communication and correspondence;
and the right to free speech, expression and to peaceably assemble. The specific rights of the accused is
likewise presented, such as; right to bail, right to criminal due process, right to speedy disposition of
cases, right against self-incrimination, non-imprisonment for non payment of debt or a poll tax, and right
against double jeopardy. It further prohibits the enactment of an ex post facto law or a bill of attainder.
It is a declaration and enumeration of person's rights and privileges which the constitution is designed to
protect against violation by the government, or by individual or groups of individuals. It Is a charter of
liberties for the individual and limitation upon power of the state.

ARTICLE XV

The Family

Article XV recognizes the Filipino family as the foundation of the nation. The constitutional definition of
marriage is found herein. It further provides for specific provisions to protect the rights of spouses,
children, family and family associations. The duty of the family and the State to care for the elderly is
likewise set fort.

"EDUCATION IS A PURE SCIENCE"

Science and education are both systematic in approach. Science relies on the accumulation of previously
acquired knowledge. Scientists collaborate and learn from one another. They observe, test and
experiment so that new knowledge can be obtained.Just like in Education, teachers and students
collaborate and learn from each other. They cooperate with each other, trying different approaches, and
learning methods in obtaining knowledge or common goals.Furthermore, both are guided by theories
and principles. It is guided by theories and principles to obtain knowledge.
Moral Ascendency state for the standard of moral influence for the instant right behavior. Teacher must
be communicative competence who's by being noble both in words and actions. Teachers may preach
good conduct with hight moral, ethical and spiritual values, as well as fairness and justice in treating
every student. Moral ascendency tied the connection among the rules and uttering instructions by the

Assignment:

How do you establish your philosophy as a teacher along with the philosophy of progressivism?

- Every student is unique, just like human fingerprints. No two minds are alike, even if they are
twins. As future educators, we are expected to adjust according to what our students need in order for
them to learn things at their own pace. We believe that students would be interested to learn new
things as long as they know that we as teachers are always there for them. We also believe that sharing
our experiences in the field of education would inspire students to continue on their chosen profession,
whatever it may be. Lastly, we must not stop learning just because we are already educators in the
future, but rather we believe in the win-win situation. We learn from our students the same way we
learn from them. We must continue to grow and learn from the experiences we acquire both inside and
outside the four corners of the classroom.
