Chargmg
Allow up to 2 hours for a full charge bafore first
use. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the
headphones to a powered USB port on your computer
or an agency approved wall charger (not supplied).
When fully charged. headphones will have about
16 hours of battery life.
Note: Before charging, be sure the headset is at room
temperature. between 41'F (5'C) and 104' F (40'C).

Slide the power switch on the control module to
0 On. The headphones will tum on in Noise
Cancelling, which reduces most sounds around
you. Note: When the power is off, the
headphones will still provide un-powered audio.
For best quality audio. tum the power on.

Importance of Proper F1t
For effective noise reduction perfomnance,
it is important to choose the correct size
StayHear" +tip.
Select the size that gives you the best comfort and fit
in each ear. You may need to try all three sizes to
detennine the best fit.
To test the fit, try speaking aloud (wrth the power off).
Your voice sihould sound muffled in both ears. If not,
select another tip size.
Each tip is marked with either an L or an R Be sure to
attach the left tip (L) to the left earpiece and the right

 To change a StayHear" +tip:
1. Gently peel the edges of the attached tip
away from the earpiece, using care not
to tear the tip.
CAUTION: To prevent damage, do not
pull on the tip wing.
2. Slide the new tip over the headphone
nozzle.
3. Press the tip securely into place until you
feel it latch. The ridge on the headphone
housing should fit into the slot on the
inside of the tip.

0 Fitting the headphones to your ear

1. Insert the headphone into the ear so
the tip gently rests in the opening of the
ear canal.
2. Tilt the headphone back and lightly press
the wing under the ear ridge until it is
comfortable and secure. The tip should
sit comfortably yet securely in the bowl
of the ear.

Troubleshoot mg
Poor sound quality
• Make sure the headphones are powered on and
securely plugged into the headphone jack on
the device.
• Try another StayHear" +tip size.
• Try another device or music application.
• Clean the connector with isopropyl alcohol and dry
with a clean cloth.
• If you experience loud noise, tum off the power switch.
Poor or no noise reduction
• Make sure the power is switched on and the Mode
indicator is on (green).
·Try another StayHear" +tip size. See "Importance
of Proper Fit' .
• Ensure that headphones are properly charged.
Short battery life (less than 16 hours)
• When charging, be sure both ends of the USB cable
are fimnly connected and verify that the Battery
Indicator is blinking amber.
Device is not responding to remote
button commands
• Ensure you are using a compatible device.
See "Made fo( below.
• Make sure the headphones are securely plugged into
the headphone jack on the device.
Microphone not working
• Make sure the headphones are securely plugged into
the headphone jack on the device.
• Make sure the microphone is not blocked.
• Try another call, device, or application.

the headphones while engaging in any activity requiring
your attention, e.g., while riding a bicycle or walking in
or near traffic, a construction site or railroad, etc.
• Turn the headphones off, c.- use Aware mode, and
adjust your volume, to ensure you can hear surrounding
sounds, induding alarms andwarning signals.
- Be aware of how sounds that you rely on as
reminders or warnings may vary in character when
using the headphones, even with Aware mode.
• DO use caution when using your headphones while
operating a vehicle or engaging in any activity that
requires your full attention. Check and follow local laws
regarding mobile phone and headphone/headset use.
Some jurisdictions impose specific limitations, such
as single earpiece coofiguration, on the use of such
products while driving.
• Sounds that you rely on as reminders or warnings may
have an unfamiliar character when using headphones.
Be aware of how these sounds may vary in characters
so you can recognize them as needed.
• DO NOT use the headphones 1fthey emit a loud squeal
or other loud noise. Contact Bose customer service if
the headphones emit any loud or unusual noise.
• 00 NOT use mobile phone adapters to connect
headphones to airplane seat jacks as this could result in
personal injury such as burns or property damage due
to overheating. Remove and disconnect immediately if
you experience warming sensation or loss of audio.
• DO NOT submerge or expose for extended period to
water or wear while participa~ng inwater sports, i.e.
swimming, waterskiing, surfing, etc.
• To reduoe the risk of fire Of electnc shock, DO NOT
expose the product to rain or moisture.
• DO NOT expose this apparatus to dnpping or splashing,
and do not plaoe objects filled with l1quids such as
vases, on or near the apparatus. As with any electronic
products, use care not to spill liquids into any part of the
system. liquids can cause a failure and/or a f1re hazard.
• 00 NOT place any naked flame sources, such as
lighted candles, on or near the apparatus.
• Contains small parts wtlich may be a
choking hazard. Not suitable for children
underage3.
• This product contains magnets which can
be harmful to pacemaker wearers.
• The product shall not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
• DO NOT subject the product to mechamcal shock.
• DO NOT leave the product on prolonged charge when
not in use.
CAUTIONS
• Make no modifications to the system or accessories.
Unauthorized a/lera~ons may compromise safety,
regulatory compliance, and systemperformance.
• Long-term exposure to loud music may cause hearing
damage. lt is best to avoid extreme volume when using
headphones. especially for extended periods.
• DO NOT drop, sit on, or allow !he headphones to be
immersed inwater.
NOTE
• Use only with an agency approved power supply
meeting local regulatory requirements (ex. Ul , CSA,
VDE , CCC).
CLEANING
Your headphones may need periodic cleaning:
• Ear tips: Remove the tips from the headphones and
wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow the ti?s
to thoroughly dry bebe you put them back on the
headphones.
• Headphone nozzles: Clean exterior only with a soft
cloth. Never insert any cleaning tool into the nozzle.

This warranty is extended only to the original
end-use purchaser or the person receiving the
product as a gift, and shall not be extended to any
other person or transferee.
What is covered/For how long:
Unless a different warranty period is stated in the
Owner's Guide provided with your Bose® product,
for a period of 1 year (2 years Ell) [5 years for any
non-powered speakers that may be incorporated into
this product] from the date of retail purchase by the
original end-use purchaser, Bose warrants that this
product, when delivered to you in new condition, in
original packaging, from a Bose authorized reseller
and used in normal conditions, is free from any defects
in manufacturing, materials and wor1<manship.
What is not covered:
This warranty does not cover defects resulting from
improper or unreasonable use or maintenance;
failure to follow operating instructions; accident;
excess moisture; insects; lightning; power surges;
connections to improper voltage supply; unauthorized
alteration or modification of original condition;
damages caused by inadequate packing or shipping
procedures; loss of, damage to or corruption of
stored data; damages caused by use with non-
Bose products; product that requires modification
or adaptation to enable it to operate in any country
Othl~r than the country for which it was designed,
of products damaged by these modifications; and
products purchased from unauthorized dealers.
What we will do:
During the warranty period, we will, at our sole option,
repair or replace (using new or refurbished replacement
parts) any defective parts within a reasonable period of
time and free of charge.
What we will not do:
Pay shipping, insurance or transportation charges
from you to us, or any impcrt fees, duties and taxes.
What vou must do to obtain Umited WarrantY
Service:
Return product, with proof of purchase from an
authorized Bose dealer, using the following
procedures:
1. Contact the Bose organization in your country/
region (visit Globai.Bose.com for Bose contact
information in your country/region) for specific
return and shipping instructions;
2. Label and ship the product, freight prepaid, to the
address provided by the Bose organization in your
country; and
3. Place any necessary return authorization number
prominently on the outside of the carton. Cartons
not bearing a return authorization number, where
required, will be refused.
THE PROVISIONS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANlY
ARE IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY,
WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WRiffiN
OR ORAL, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. BOSE CORPORATION'S MAXIMUM
LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL
PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCT.
IN NO EVENT SHALL BOSE BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF,
DAMAGE TO OR CORRUPTION OF STORED DATA,
OR FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
OR INDIRECT DAMAGES HOWSOEVER
CAUSED INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE
REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY,
AND ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING, PROGRAMMING
OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA
STORED IN OR USED WITH YOUR BOSE PRODUCT.
This warranty is void if the label bearing the serial
number has been removed or defaced.
Other leaal rights:
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights,
and you also may have other rights that vary from
state to state or country to country. Some places
do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may
not apply to you.
