Optimized face shovel control

Background
Whenever the bucket “stalls” during the penetration into the muck pile, the operator is forced with the standard
settings to pull the stick back and start the penetration process again.

A new optimized face shovel control has been tested on site with the feedback of an improved cycle-time and
bucket fill factor.

Modification
For deliveries after January 2008, this optimized face shovel control has been integrated into the series.

The optimised face shovel control allows the operator to work the “stick in” and “boom down” movements with
more efficiency.
Please, refer to the appendix for a complete technical description and operating instructions regarding this kit.

An operator’s training is recommended in order to make operators fully aware of the difference in working the
machine.
