This internship report has been developed in order to fulfill the partial requirement of
Pokhara University for the completion of BBA Degree. This is my great pleasure to
present the internship report to learn banking activities in the Gandaki Bikas Bank
Limited. This internship program helps me to know about the practical exposure of
various departments of banking system.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Branch Manager, Mr. Deepak Pathak
for their role about my internship program. I am highly appreciated to other GBBL
staffs for their unlimited support and helpful work environment and for providing me
guidance along for this whole internship period in the operation of different
department and to complete this internship program successfully.

I also extend my thanks to my Project Guide Mr. Santosh Sigdel, who guided me and
provided his valuable suggestion to complete this report.

Executive Summary
An internship is first step of learning experience at work environment after the
studying of theoretical knowledge in college. An internship helps to fulfill practical
knowledge for students. This internship has been completed in the Gandaki Bikas
Bank Limited Bharatpur Branch.

It has been good opportunity to do internship in one of the leading B class financial
institution licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank “Gandaki Bikas Bank Limited”. During the
internship period, I have learned various banking activities in different department. It
is my first experience in banking sectors. The study shows the importance of the
internship program. It will help the students to be fully aware of the real world
practices before entering into the market as a fresher

During the internship period in GBBL, the real life job experience was achieved. I
spent most of the time in CSD . Customer service desk is the desk where all the
required information is provided to the customers. Various general functions such as
account opening and closing, balance inquiry, cheque book issue, and ATM
providing.
