TTTY6034 Analysis and Design of Health Information Systems Case Study 2 Capstone Case: New Century Wellness Group Tasks
2. You may be given a standard set of interview summaries, or you may conduct role-
play interviews. Either way, use the information to complete Tasks 3 and 4.
3. Develop a checklist that includes several requirements for system output, input,
process, performance, and control.
4. Design a questionnaire to learn how New Century patients feel about insurance
procedures and appointment scheduling. Your questionnaire should be designed for
a sample group of patients, and should follow the suggestions in this chapter. After
you complete the questionnaire, select a sampling method and explain your choice.
Joint Application Development (JAD) Team
Formation of Joint Application Development (JAD) Team is important as it brings users into
the design process as active participants. It consists of a project leader and one or more
members from the management, department and user work level. Ideal planning would be
to assign group leaders to head small group sessions including the IT staffs’ support. The
main objective would be to collect input and information, understand business needs in
preparation for new system requirements. The JAD Team members should not be distracted
by day-to-day operation of the centre in order to optimise their contribution to the JAD
Team.
The JAD team for NEW CENTURY WELLNESS GROUP shall consist of:
JAD Project leader
Top management (project owner/sponsor)
Managers
Users
IT staff members
