Abstraction Self-awareness is having a clear
/ perception of one’s personality, including
Generalizati one’s strengths, weaknesses, thoughts,
on beliefs, motivation, and emotions. It allows
us to understand other people, how they
perceive us, our attitude, and our responses
to them at a given situation.
Students self-awareness is important
because when we have a better
understanding of ourselves, we are able to
experience ourselves as unique and
separate individuals. We are then
empowered to make decisions on life
choices that we will make and to build on
our areas of strength as well as identify
areas where we would like to make
improvements.

aware of what we are, not just as an
individual, but as a person endowed with
gifts and talents that need to be discovered
and developed.”
