COMMENTS & SUGGESTIONS :

FUEL ALERT!!!!

This fuel has extremely high water content at 2.7% is present as Mixed water. This may be due to sample contamination or sampling error. Based
on the sodium content, water is likely to be brackish sea water. The sediment content of the sample could not be established as it exceeds the
filtration time specified in the test method. High catfines, Calcium and Iron content are also noted. Due to very high water content, the accuracy of
the results might have been affected. Please ensure adequate drainage and do not collect from drain line. If the sample is collected from the drain
line of the tank, all the settled water would get collected and the sample will not be a representative sample. Please send us another sample taking
all necessary precaution.

Please do not use this fuel in the present condition. Purify continuously until the Aluminum and Silicon content are removed by running through the
purifier. Please note the Aluminum and Silicon are so high which can cause damage to fuel pump and nozzles. Please take necessary precaution in
regards with this fuel.

Stability spot test has been carried to check the stability of the fuel and found to be Unstable. Please take necessary precaution while using this oil.

Flash Point Is Below 65°C.

Actual flash point is 51 °C. Please take precautions in storing and handling the fuel.

Observation: (Ca + P + Zn) content is high.

One of the possible reasons for this could be the presence of used lubricating oil in the fuel. Continuous purification and recirculation of tank
contents can bring down this value.

High Iron
High iron content can cause damage to fuel pump and fuel nozzle. Ensure purification and filtration systems are functioning efficiently.

High Sodium
High sodium content is due to sea/salt water contamination. Settle, drain and purify continuously until water is removed.

SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO SHIP OWNERS / OPERATORS / TECHNICAL STAFF

Pour Point
Heat and store this fuel at 10°C above the measured pour point temperature.

Ash
Excess ash will cause increased wear in cylinder rubbing surfaces and deposits on turbocharger blades. Continuous purification and recirculation of
tank contents through purifier will reduce ash.

Water
Presence of water will generate sludge in fuel tank. It can cause corrosion and occasional seizure in the fuel injection/pumping equipment.
Dropping of engine power is another effect.

Heat the fuel in the settling and service tank and drain water frequently from the bottom of the tank and send through the purifier for further water

removal.

Ensure that the purifier is functioning properly by adjusting gravity disc if you are not using an Al Cap type of purifier. To speed up water removal,

run two purifiers in parallel. Purify continuously and recirculate if necessary until all water is removed.Check the water content in the fuel before

use.

Sulphur
High alkalinity of some cylinder oils can cause scuffing and excess wear of cylinder liners.
Make sure cylinder oil used can handle low sulfur fuel.

Iron
High iron content can cause damage to fuel pump and fuel nozzle. Ensure purification and filtration systems are functioning efficiently.
