are widely used for inter-
ethnic communication. Arabic,
Somali, Berber, Amharic,
Oromo, Igbo, Swahili, Hausa,
Manding, Fulani and Yoruba
are spoken by tens of millions
of people.
• African cooking is done mostly
outdoors and nature is
incorporated into it as much
as possible
• Education inequality.
• Animals must be slaughtered
in a particular way before
they can be consumed.
• Sense of community.
• People freely discuss their
problems and look for
solutions together. The
unwillingness to talk to people
about either private or public
affairs can be interpreted as
bad manners.
• Both have a culture of ancestor worship
and have respect for elders.

continents unlike in Europe and North

Rites of passage, seasonal ceremonies,
and religious celebrations are all a big
part of community life, whether people
are nominally Christians, Muslims, or
traditionalists.
• Majority of Asians speak the
common languages associated
with the continent; Chinese,
Hindi, English, Russian,
Indonesian, Bengali, and
Japanese.
• Most Asian meals have a
specific meaning to them.
• Hands and chopstick are
mostly used to eat their food.
Asian societies tend to be
hierarchical, unlike African
culture, where in some cases
even parent and child are not
unusual to consider equal.
Shame and honor go far
beyond the individual, it
reflects directly upon one's
family, nation, or another
group.
• Cutlery like knives, forks, and
spoons are used.
