Ferdio Blue Light Glasses block the transmission of a range of wavelengths emitted from

devices to protect and reduce potential damage to the eyes.

I think this value proposition sells the product well because it clearly states the what, how

and the outcome of the product. What the product is, is blue light glasses, how it works is it

blocks certain wavelengths of light, and the outcome is that it protects the eyes from potential

damage. This value proposition also makes sure to stay concise yet constructive making the

product sound useful to the reader.

Harper the Lifeguard uses vigilance, time management and a friendly demeanor to

maintain positive guest relations and sustain the cleanliness and upkeep of the pools around

Cedar Point.

I feel this value proposition about myself is effective because it molds well into the WHO

method and makes sure to highlight only the most important skills and outcomes.Vigilance, time

management, and a positive attitude are all skills I use every day on the job. They are essential

for my outcome, which is keeping guests happy and the pool area clean.

I thoroughly enjoyed this exercise, it was fun to think about objects as well as myself and

products. Analyzing what they do and how they do it. I think it was very important for me to do a

value proposition of an object before I did one on myself because it was a much easier transition

going from an object to myself than vice versa. I also realized that I have done value propositions

on pretty much every role I’ve had on my resume.

My learning objectives for this class were to find a career skill that was interesting to me

and spend some time learning more about it. To engage in an informational interview with two

people to find out how they got to the position they are in now. Lastly, to reach out to 15

LinkedIn professionals with job titles that were interesting to me. I feel like I achieved all of my
goals. When I started using the Excel spreadsheet to log my seminars, I found it very interesting

and wanted to learn more. I taught myself conditional formatting and pivot tables over the course

of the summer. Even though informational interviewing was an activity we were already going to

do in class, it was still something I had been wanting to accomplish since the spring. I also

reached out to 15 members on LinkedIn, most of which wrote back and I was able to engage in

interesting conversations with them. So I feel like I accomplished all the learning objectives I set,

which is quite satisfying. One thing I did not expect to learn was that sometimes your degree

doesn’t end up being used the way you expected, that you may find something that you’re really

passionate about and end up going in a different direction with it. That is something I want to be

prepared for.
