terms of acceptance or rejection. The system suggest its decisions based on the configuration,
but finally user’s decision supersedes the decision suggested by the system.

If you want to record the Labor or any other overhead cost to repair the material in case of defect
you can record this value in the ‘Defect Vl.” field. ( optional).
NOTE: This field is mostly used in case of warranty claim parts, to record the cost incurred
by the dealer.

In the screen shot shown below, the quantity of material is to be posted to different stock types
depending on the results or defects that have been recorded previously. If no defect are recorded
and the inspected material was valuated “OK” , then the lot quantity will be posted to unrestricted
area or stock.

1.4.4 Usage Decision Code
Now UD Code must be entered for the lot in order to complete the status of the lot. The selection
of code is done through the UD code field.
The system will display the UD codes; select the most appropriate code from the list displayed.
Once the code is selected, save the lot by clicking the save icon at the top of screen.

Now if the lot selection screen is refreshed, the lot whose decision has been made will vanish
from the list and system will show this lot in the list of those lot against which usage decision has
been taken.

Now to view the lots against which the decision has been made, go to the Inspection lot selection
screen and form there you select the option in List Settings to “Select only inspection lots with a
usage decision”

Here all the lots, against which the Usage Decision has been made, can be viewed or displayed.
The inspection lots with green signal show that usage decision has been made for these lots and
no further action or changes can be made against such lots.
