 COVID-19

Coronavirus is an epidemic disease that was first detected in Wuhan, China,

in late 2019 (1), And has started spreading all over the world causing
devastation, and the death of many people, So we should know about its
symptoms, and damages, and our precautions.

The phylogenetic analysis revealed that COVID-19 is potentially a zoonotic

virus (2), Its symptoms are divided into two parts: The most common
symptoms are fever, dry cough, and fatigue, and there are other symptoms less
common and may affect some patients include: Loss of taste or smell, and
different types of skin rash (3).

Prevention is better than cure so how we can protect ourselves and others. The
answer is represented in following all of these instructions: wearing a mask,
keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, cleaning your hands, and
coughing into a bent elbow or tissue (3).

A recent study from China showed that COVID-19 is associated with a

cytokine elevation profile that is reminiscent of secondary hemophagocytic
lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) (4). Some experts suggest that we examine
critically ill COVID-19 patients for secondary HLH using the HScore (5). and
that corticosteroids and other immunosuppressive agents can be used in
patients with a high likelihood of HLH (6). More evidence is needed before we
can make recommendations on the treatment options for a cytokine storm.

In spite of the negative effects of Coronavirus, we used digital education as

one of its most positive effects, we could have quality time with our families,
and of course, take a break.

Despite the recent decrease in the number of infections with the Coronavirus,
it is believed that there is a second wave coming, so we must be careful and
adhere to all necessary precautions to get rid of this dangerous virus.
