students
►Students have proved a good knowledge of the difference between the three forms of Present tense Simple
(Affirmative, Negative and Interrogative).
►Most of them have found no difficulty in using the affirmative form of verbs in the Present Simple
►The majority of students have provided the correct answers to the given questions.
WEAKNESSES/WEAK POINTS
►They have made mistakes when it comes to the use of Present Simple in the interrogative and the
negative forms.
►Some of them haven’t made the distinction between the verbs that receive 's' or 'es' in the affirmative form of
the third person singular.
►Other students have found it hard to answer to provide the correct forms of Present Simple.
►Some of them have found difficulty in writing a short composition, because they didn’t use
correctly the grammatical structures and the aspects demanded by the task.
►I will insist on the things they have not understood and offer them further practice in order to
avoid other similar mistakes (especially the interrogative and negative forms of the verbs in the
Present Simple).
►The contexts will be more appropriate for their age and interests.
►I will check those who made mistakes, more often and if possible, give them some extra work
with exercises from the book.
►I will also give them more worksheets in order to practice Present Simple.
►I will insist on writing short compositions, in order to practice Present Simple and to teach
them how to use the appropriate vocabulary and grammar structures.
