EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
“Refined Society” is an environment friendly manufacturing company
and converting waste materials into new materials and objects. We are
a socially responsible company working to ensure minimization of
waste and recycle waste and contribute to establish a green society.
The company will create a waste plastic and refining plant located in
the Bangladesh. Our major product will be plastic sheets and plastic
cup. Because plastic are one of the most used materials. This is why it is
used for such a wide variety of application, from every day single –use
products like packing and bottles and it is also be a very waste
materials. That’s we hope to generate significant environment though
reduce, reuse and recycle. Due to high rate of urbanization in
Bangladesh it is expected the increase of products and subsequent
increase of waste products will increase multiply. And as a socially
responsible and play an important role in education to general mass
about the benefit of using recycled products. We initially aim to reduce,
reuse and recycle products with an aim to recover the utilized products
to create a sustainable society. The company currently has
commitments available from customers to purchase all of the product
produced.
START-UP SUMMARY

Our start-up expenses are budgeted at 10,00,000 which is mostly for


the start-up period. Our largest start-up requirement is the building of
the recycling and extrusion facility.

MISSION
Replay plastic is a manufacturing company dedicated to converting
waste plastic materials into commercially viable products. We will also
maintain a friendly, fair and creative work environment, which respects
diversity, new ideas and hard work.

Company Background

Main Business Operations: ‘Refined Society’ a recycling company


located in Tongi, Gazipur. It is the place where the facility will be
established and other operation will commence.

We will collect plastic garbage like consumer beverage bottles, plastic


bags from various garbage stores and then our recycle unit will process
it which eventually be used for the production of furnished goods.

We will create a plant (actual facilities to be shared with the recycling


unit) to manufacture purified plastic. The extruded plastic is then
molded in the various products.

Vision Statement: At Refined Society, we aspire to be more than just a


recycling company. Our vision is to develop a sustainable recycling
solution for designated materials that is a model of excellence,
environmentally responsible, and economically viable.

Mission Statement: To provide our customers with exceptional


recycling and disposal products that protect, preserve and improve our
environment and the quality of life in the communities we serve. The
Refined Society will provide the highest-quality end products to our
customers.

Legal Form of Business: Refined Society is a partnership business. A


partnership is a legal form of business with two or more owners. In our
business we are a member of 5 and all of us are general partner.
General Partnership is a partnership in which all the owners share in
operating the business and in assuming liability for the business’s debts.

Job Description:

CEO: A Chief Executive Officer or CEO is essentially responsible for


every decision that is made within a company. CEO will also act as
operations manager. In this role the CEO makes sure the company is
turning a profit while producing products and services in an efficient
manner. CEO will run the business through his capability. There will be
many department managers, who will work under him.

Human Resources Management Department: Human resources


manager supervise a company or organization's hiring process, from
recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new staff. They help connect
executives with employees, build an employer brand, improve
employee engagement and build strategic talent resources plans.

Marketing and Sales Department: A Sales and Marketing Manager is


responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities
and planning and implementing new sales plans.
The Sales and Marketing Manager will also manage both
the marketing and the sales staff and will perform managerial duties to
meet the company's operations goals.
Finance and Accounting Department: This department manages the
money in an organization. It may be the owner or a small team who
have broader roles and greater responsibility. The best way to
understand the responsibilities of an organization’s finance team is to
split the roles and responsibilities into:

1. Accounting and reporting.

2. Strategic financial management.

ICT Department: There will be one ICT manager. He will manage


communication side through internet and record all the business
information’s in the server.
Product/Service Description

Refined Society Group is a company. The main purpose of this company


is to reduce waste and recycle and reuse. The service we provide is to
collect solid waste from city and convert the waste into high quality
plastic. We can sell this to domestic buyers. Our main products is mats
and plastic sheets. The main focus is to create plastic sheets because
we can sell this plastic to other companies who work with plastics. Like
there are many water company and many industries that we are
targeting as a potential customer. Initially we will be focusing on the
plastic.
Unique Selling Point: High quality RECYCLED plastic.

Why would customers buy our products?

Our products are significantly cheaper as it comes from recycling which


reduces our cost of production hence the price is low.

PESTLE analysis:

Market Segmentation:
Market segmentation is the process of dividing a target market into
smaller, more defined categories. It segments customers and audiences
into groups that share similar characteristics such as demographics,
interests, needs, or location.
The four bases of market segmentation are:
1. Geographic segmentation
2. Demographic segmentation
3. Psychographic segmentation
4. Behavioral segmentation

Geographic segmentation: Geographic segmentation is the simplest


type of market of segmentation. It categorizes customers based on
geographic borders.
Demographic segmentation: Demographic segmentation is one of the
most popular and commonly used types of market segmentation. It
refers to statistical data about a group of people.
Psychographic segmentation: Psychographic segmentation categorizes
audiences and customers by factors that relate to their personalities
and characteristics.
Behavioral segmentation: While demographic and psychographic
segmentation focus on who a customer is, behavioral segmentation
focuses on how the customer acts.

Marketing plan

The plastic sector has opened a new era of manufacturing plastic goods
which have an excellent domestic as well as export potential. The
plastic industry has many opportunities which suggest a notable
development of this industry. Growth rate has averaged more than 20
percent each year in the last two decades, almost all the plastic goods
which were imported in the past are now being made domestically with
export quality, the plastic production wastage is recycled for re-use,
more use of plastics in modern machinery and equipment, and some
plastic products are now being made for export. If these opportunities
could be capitalized through policy reforms and other support services,
the plastic industry in Bangladesh could achieve significant growth in
the future.
Although the plastics industry in Bangladesh has made remarkable
progress over recent years, it continues to lack a well-designed strategy
for achieving long-term and sustainable growth which suggests a
consistent and direct policy to be ensured by the government.
It is a challenge for the plastic industry in Bangladesh to be more
competitive in the global market. Some of the large-scale plastic
industries have demonstrated a capability to be world class in terms of
technology, quality, and costs. However, there are 5000 plastic
manufacturing units of which 98% belong to the small-medium sector
(SMEs). The major challenge facing this sector is to make the SMEs
competitive in the global market by upgrading them in terms of
innovative technology, product diversity, and operation costs. It is to be
emphasized that technology is changing rapidly and the life cycle is
short.

Plastic is a very essential material that only help to create daily-used


items but it can have a multiple impact on other sectors of the
economy. Plastic industry in Bangladesh has grown significantly and has
export potential. Nevertheless, with the profitable market condition,
the industry is failing to achieve it.
There are several challenges that this industry is facing. In order to
compete globally, the industry should focus to work on the lacking to
reap the tremendous level of benefits for Bangladesh. Keeping all these
challenges in mind, the government should also take a policy which will
favor plastic industry to grow more in Bangladesh.

Financing the business


We will get this funding’s mostly from our family members or
friends. Some of the total amount will be from our personal
savings also.
Building a Recycling Plant will cost around 2 lac BDT each.
The rest of the amount will be put on promotions, office
equipment’s, salaries and wages.
