CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL CERTIFICATES IN OIL AND GAS
Uganda Technical College- Kichwamba(UTC-KI) is a City and Guilds accreditedCenter for
International Vocational Qualifications (IVQs) Level 2 Training in construction related
tradesthat support the Oil and Gas sector. The College is an Approved Centre for City
&Guilds qualifications and Awards withCenter NO. 851044
UTC-KI is a Government Tertiary Institution under the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Established as an artisan centre for settling war veterans in 1947, UTC-KI has gone through a
series of institutional development and in 2011 the college embarked on Competence Based
Education and Training curriculum for two year engineering national diploma programs in
Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Water and Architecture.
.With support from the World Bank under the Albertine Region Sustainable Development
Project (ARSDP), UTC-Kichwamba in Partnership with Coventry University UK, recently
developed four highly competitive, internationally adapted, and recognised Competency
Based Training Programmes for Construction trades that support the Oil and Gas Industry.
The Government of Uganda is to subsidise on this training for the first intake of 60qualifying
Ugandan nationals per trade to a maximum of 80%.
ELIGIBILITY:
Eligible candidates for the international Technical certified programs
should have:
o A craft certificate recognized programme offerd in Uganda
APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND DEADLINE
Hard Copy applications can be obtained from the Academic Registrar’s
office, OR from www.utc-kiand returned after payment of a non-refundable
application fee of UGX 50,000/=(excluding Bank Charges) to
Uganda Technical College Kichwamba , Act Nos. 1300033894 Housing
Finance Bank, or9030005625377Stanbic Bank; Fort Portal branch
Note: Online applications will only be considered upon proof ofpayment of the
application fee.
Shortlisted candidates shall be invited for interviews to be conducted at the
College campus
