The concept of the traditional marketing is consists of those activities which are concerned with the transfer of ownership
of goods from producers to consumers, also it refers to marketing as the process by which goods are made available to
ultimate consumers from their place of origin, the traditional marketing concentrate the product and here the consumer
satisfaction is overlooked.
According to the modern marketing thinking is, Marketing is so basic that it cannot be considered as a separate function. It
is the whole business seen from the customers’ needs/wants and their desires, while the consumer’s satisfaction is the first
and the customer considers them as kings.

Traditional Marketing Modern marketing
01. Traditional Marketing concepts focuses on products only. -Modern marketing concepts focuses on
customer’s needs and wants.
02. Traditional marketing starts from production and ends with sale. –Modern includes planning, product, price,
promotion, place, people, after sale service etc.
03. Products are sold which the producer produces. -Production is produce only after analyzing
consumer demands.
04. Traditional marketing is product and production oriented. - Modern marketing is consumer oriented.
05. Traditional Marketing concept is a narrow concept. -Whereas modern marketing is a broader concept.
06. It is based on production and selling concept. - It is based on social and selling concept.
07. Geographical scope of traditional market is local area. -Geographical scope of modern market is global area.
4. Studies suggest that hard copy marketing are easier to process and recall.
