ANALECTS OF CONFUCIUS

1. “DO NOT DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU DON’T WANT OTHERS DO TO YOU.”

It simply means that treat others in the same way you would like to be treated. If
you want to be loved, others will do the same to you. So simply live a life a life doing
good things to people, things that you would love other to do to or things you would love
God to do unto you.

2. “READING WITHOUT THINKING GIVES ONE A DISORDERLY MIND, AND

THINKING WITHOUT READING MAKES ONE FLIGHTLY.”

If you read before you think it means you already have an idea to a brain a chance
to work and function the way it needs to be. It will exercise the mind and at the same time
makes you feel good about yourself because you thought of something for yourself
without anyone’s help.

3. “TO KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW AND KNOW WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW IS THE
CHARACTERISTIC OF THE ONE WHO KNOWS.”

It means that recognizing what you don’t know is a sign of an intelligent or wise
person because a wise person knows his/her strengths and weaknesses and never hesitates
to acknowledge the things that they don’t know because they are aware of the fact that no
matter how much things they already know, there are more things that they still don’t
know about.

4. “DO NOT WORRY PEOPLE ABOUT NOT KNOWING YOU, BUT STRIVE SO
THAT YOU MAY BE WORTH KNOWING.”

You should not care about what people think about you, it will make you feel
uncomfortable, but instead, do you best, be successful and achieve something great and
worthy, in that way people will know and remember you.

5. “DON’T CRITICIZE OTHER PEOPLE’S FAULT; CRITICIZE YOU OWN.”

Rather than criticizing others life, try to look at first yourself in front of the
mirror. Did you see yourself perfect? If is not, show respect or mind your own business.
It doesn’t help you at all.
