“SI PILANDOK SA KARAGATANG MARANAW”

Characterization

1. Datu Usman- The greedy "Datu" who was tricked by a clever man named

PILANDOK.

2. Pilandok – Young Man with great cleverness and wit.

Summary
A selfish and greedy monarch once ruled over a country. Datu Usman was his name.

Pilandok, a young man from that realm, is also a genius who has devised ways to deceive

and get even with the dreadful Datu. As a result, the Datu's rage got more and stronger.

Pilandok was captured by the guards when the Datu saw him in the realm, and the Datu

punished him for it. Because a merchant was passing by at the time, Pilandok had a fast

thought of something clever to do. I'm not going to be married to the Datu's daughter, he

said as he wailed and cried. When the merchant heard him, he assumed Pilandok was an

idiot. Who doesn't desire to be a member of an aristocratic royal family? Pilandok was

approached by the merchant, who offered to switch places with him. Pilandok was quick

to agree. Pilandok was then freed by the merchant, who exchanged clothing with him and

went into the cage. Pilandok returned to the kingdom after a few days, and the Datu was

startled to see him alive. Pilandok revealed that instead of being tossed into the water by

the Datu, he ended himself in a kingdom under the sea! He also discovered that the

emperor of the Maranaw Sea Kingdom was his long-lost cousin, who had lavished him

with wealth. Pilandok was believed by Datu Usman since he was alive and didn't drown

when thrown into the water. When Pilandok said that his cousin, who governed the

Maranaw Sea Kingdom. Immediately, Datu Usman instructed his guards to construct a

cage for him, inside which he would be flung into the kingdom’s farthest reaches. When

the cage moved, he simply reminded his guards to pull the cord. They didn't, however.

The rope was moving because the Datu and his cousin were having a good time,

according to Pilandok, who was stopping them. The guards were in a panic as the ropes

suddenly stopped moving. They drew the rope and were taken aback when they saw the
Datu was on the verge of death. Because he drank a lot of water, his stomach ballooned.

The clever Pilandok escaped once again.

“My brother’s peculiar chicken”

1. Characterization

Kiko- The owner of peculiar chicken and he was trying to find ways to prove that it was a

rooster.

Youngest Brother of Kiko – The one who insist that the chicken is a rooster.

Father- the adoring husband

Mr. Cruz- owner of the largest poultry in town.

Teniente Del Barrio- Oldest man in the village.

Summary:

The plot revolved around Kiko's and his brother's discovery of a strange chicken. They

couldn't tell if it was a rooster or a hen. They keep disputing because Kiko insists that the

chicken is a rooster because they observed it fighting another chicken on the field. His

sibling, on the other hand, isn't convinced because the chicken doesn't have a comb or

wattles. They proceeded to inquire about their parents, as well as the individuals in their

community, such as Tasio and Mr. Cruz. They couldn't determine if it was a hen or a

rooster, though. It was also regarded to be a "binabae". Rather, they decide to bring it

inside the cockpit and have it battle to the death with a rooster in tow. However,

something unexpected happens during the fight, and things don’t go as planned. In order
to avoid fighting, the rooster began to execute a love dance, but the strange chicken

stubbed its spur into the rooster and the fight was called off immediately. They couldn’t

believe their eyes when they saw what they had seen. Although Kiko believes he has

convinced his sibling that the chicken is a rooster, the chicken behaves strangely. It began

to tremble, and an egg popped out of it, landing in his brother's palm
