II. Reading. Let us read the article How to be a winner on page 8 of the textbook.

1. According to the writer´s opinion how important is talent for achieving
success?
According to the author, success is related to talent since each one, despite having some
kind of personal, health or mental problem, had talent and were good at the activities they
carried out and thanks to them they achieved all their success.

2. What are the keys to success in your point of view?

I consider that the main keys to success are discipline, talent, the desire to get ahead and
self-confidence. Nothing is easy and we must be restrictions and fight for what we really
want. sometimes we have luck or perhaps fate rewards us but usually we achieve success
on our own merits.

IV. Homework
1. In pairs, prepare a 3-minute presentation about what success is for you. Give
evidence and examples from the videos and from real people you know.
Include a brief introduction, your position, examples and evidence and a
short conclusion. Make sure you use academic vocabulary, interesting
intonation and comprehensible pronunciation.
2. Investigate 4 phrasal verbs. Write a definition and use them in an example.
If possible, draw illustrations of the meanings. To be shared next class.
