Express your self...let’s do it write!

Directions: Using your own dialect, write a paragraph introducing yourself or tell something about
yourself. It could be about your favourite mobile game, sport or hobby. Create your own title of
your paragraph. This type of writing is “Free-style”.

“Ako”

Lahat ng tao ay may pag kakakilanlan. Sabi nga nila, ang mga tao ay
datapwat may pag kakahalintulad ay may pag kakaiba din. Maaring sa itsura, korte
ng katawa, ugali, pag iisip, interest, at pangalan.
Kamusta! ako nga pala si Sofia Cinderella Santos-Quimo. Pia, Suping at
Sofie and malimit na tawag sa akin ng aking mga malapit na kaibigan at kamag anak.
Ipinanganak ako nuong ika-labing apat ng Hunyo, taong dalawang libo’t isa, sa
Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya ngunit nag kaisip at kasalukuyang naninirahan sa Brgy.
Bintawan Sur, Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya. Bata pa lamang ako’y nahilig na ako sa
pag guguhit. Kwento nga ng aking ina’y maski pader daw ay akin nang na guguhitan.
Makulit at pasaway nga raw akong bata ngunit kapag nabigyan na ng lapis at papel
ay tatalima’t mananahimik na. Sa pag lipas ng ilang taon unti-unti akong nag ka
interest sa iba’t ibang klase at istilo ng sining. Mula sa simpleng pagkrokis hanggang
sa pag pinta. Nuong una’y hindi pa ako ganuon kahusay ngunit sa patuloy na pag
eensayo at ilang beses na pag subok at pag kakamali ay natuto at mas lalong na
linang ang aking talento. Gayunpaman alam ko sa aking sarili na marami pa akong
dapat matutunan at matututunan sa patuloy na pag lipas ng panahon ngunit bukas sa
aking loob na tanggapin ang marami pang kaalaman ukol sa sining dahil sa gantong
paraan mahahasa’t ma ipapakita ko ang aking pag papahalaga sa talentong regalo
ng may kapal.

Read an article about how language affects one’s culture. Give some points. List at least 5.

1. The language that we speak influences our cultural identities and our social realities.

 Our cultural identities and social realities are influenced by the language we use. We
internalize norms and standards that help us function in our own society, but when applied
to other cultures, they might cause confusion. By purposefully modifying our communication,
we may adapt to various cultural circumstances.

2. The way our language forces us to speak has profound implications on our culture and
way of thinking.

 Our culture and manner of thinking are profoundly influenced by the way our language
requires us to talk. When it comes to topics like money spending habits and color vision, the
way language pushes you to talk is thought to alter the way you think and even act.

3. Language not only reflects perception, but it also represents a culture's past and explains
why some ideas and beliefs are so powerful.
 Engaging with media produced by people from that culture is a terrific approach to learn
about that culture's distinct perspective and beliefs.

4. Language serves as our communication

 It’s how people interact with one another, form bonds, and form a sense of belonging.
Different cultural communities used sounds to piece together collective understandings as
language developed.

5. Language helps us express our feelings and thought

 Language allows us to convey our feelings and thoughts, and it is unique to our species
since it allows us to express other cultures' and communities' distinct beliefs and practices.
You can learn about a society's conventions and how individuals interact with one another.
