DEDICATION

I offer this work I do to my parents who are always by my side to

support me and guide me. I know how big they sacrifice for me to enter
college and pursue my dreams. I also offer this work to my friends who
make my freshmen year happy and exciting. And last but not the least is
GOD because he never give up in guiding and loving me.
 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I want to thank my parents for sending me to school. They become my

inspiration to continue and study more hard. I thank them for the
sacrifices they do for me. I also thank Mdm. Madamba for teaching me
everything about leadership and to be responsible in community service.
Its an honor for me that Mdm. Madamba become my instructor for the
second semester. I want to thank my friends and classmates because they
make my freshmen year happy, fun and exciting. Even if we are together
with a short period of time, I know many memories will be kept. And
last but not the least, the person I’ve loved most. I thank him because he
taught me to be a lovable person. He show me that he love and care for
me. Even though we will not be together anymore, he will stay in my
heart. He become part of my freshmen year.

January 8, 2011

“Mass and Blood typing”

We have a mass at the Sacred Heart Chapel at exactly 7:30 in the morning. After
the mass, Mdm. Madamba check the attendance before we undergo the blood
typing test. After that, we went home.

January 15, 2011

“Cleaning in Saint Mary’s University”

We clean around H building. Some of us bring their cleaning materials. We cut the
tall trees in front of h building and near Gate 2. We have a short break. After that
break, we continue to clean at the back of H building near the D building. There
are so many dry leaves fell from the trees. After that, Mdm. Madamba check our
attendance and the cleaning materials we bring. We went home after checking the
attendance.

“Cleaning at the Capitol”

We assemble at the school before proceeding to the capitol. We walk as a class

until we reach capitol. We start to clean the Ammungan Park and the Children’s
Playground. We are group with 5 members and assigned to different areas. We
have a short break and after that short break, we continue to clean.

January 29, 2011

“Weekend Encounter”

One of the activity that we should do/attend is the weekend encounter. It’s just like
the recollection in highschool but weekend encounter is more happier and exciting.
The SCC Officers and Mdm. Abriam lead the singing and dancing of the HAPPY
SONG. After that, they discuss about the SAD(Smoking, Alcoholism and Drug
Addiction) and Pre-marital Sex. We have our short break (merienda). While we are
having our merienda, we are watching a movie that is related to the topic they
discuss and also the good values that we must implement. They continue to discuss
about the topics. We have our lunch at H canteen and we return at the Chapel at
exactly 1:00 in the afternoon. We are unified as a group and do a task and Mdm.
Madamba shared a forum. After that, Mr. Bon Torres discuss about the internal
and external stressors that students encounter. We are group again with 1 or 2
facilitators to share our bad experiences and our own stressors in life. Although
some of us don’t share because it’s already time. We make a letter to the person we
want to thank and say sorry. And the last part, we form a circle and they turn off
the lights and only the big candle was lighten. We also light our own candle and
one by one we go to the center and say a little prayer. After saying a little prayer,
we leave the letters we made at the center. Before 7:00 in the evening, they check
the attendance ad we went home.

“Business Seminar”

We go to the Tonus Gymnasium. We listen about the seminar of business. We

learn many things about this seminar. We went home after the seminar.

“Cleaning with Sir Bobby”

Mdm. Agnes Madamba can’t come to school this day but she asked Sir Bobby to
watch us in cleaning the school ground. Before we start to clean, Sir Bobby show
to us the areas we are going to clean. We start to clean in front of A building but
whilw we are cleaning, the rain comes. We decided to stop in cleaning and we go
to the bench with roof. When the rain stops, we continue to clean near the oval and
after cleaning, we have our short break. We continue to clean near D building.
After we clean, we go to the office of Sir Bobby and we wait him to check the
attendance. After that, Sir Bobby sent us home.

“Tactical inspection”

The ROTC have their tactical inspection. They are so amazing. The band is also
amazing and fun. They finish the Tactical Inspection even if they are under the
sun. Mdm. Madamba let us make jingle about drugs. We went home at exactly
12:00. They let us come back in the afternoon but I didn’t come back.

“Culminating Activity Week”

We have the mass at Sacred Heart Chapel. After the mass, Mdm. Abriam tell an
announcement. The participants of the slogan and poster making starts to make
outside the Sacred Heart Chapel. Inside, we watch the impromptu speech of the
participants. After that, we went home. They let us come back in the afternoon but
I didn’t come back.

March 5, 2011

“Cleaning in Saint Dominic Cathedral”

We assemble again in school before we go to the Cathedral. We walk until we

reach cathedral. We clean at the back of Cathedral and inside the Saint Mary’s
University High School, Science High School. After cleaning, we have our
merienda and Mdm. Madamba tells us what to bring next Saturday before she let
us go home.

“Plant Nursery”

We go to the plant nursery near gate 3. We put soil in the black plastic bag. There
are many soil we put in the black plastic bag. After that, we have our break. We
continue to put soil and after that we go home.

March 19, 2011

“Examination Day”

We have our examination in NSTP at the Projection Room in S building. But

before we have our exam, Mdm. Madamba discuss to us about the format of the
individual portfolio and we answer the Personal Data Sheet. After that, we have
our short break. We go back to our room and we take the exam. We went home
after the exam. That is the last day of our NSTP subject.

REFLECTION:
In having this subject, I learn so many things about leadership and community
service. Work together in group that they can make more new friends. Besides,
community services can provide students with confidence to do something in
public.
