can also cleaned and be taken care of properly.
 Closing the whole island from tourists or locals can be dependent of the levels that the waters
are in. Boracay was closed down because the certain water safety is above 100.
 Ever since the rehabilitation program it is come to life that the GDP of the country increased
more than the past years. Domestic tourists have drastically increased since, more Filipinos
came to visit certain areas of the country. People have been travelling because of food, and
people have also been buying local souvenirs.
 Social Media has played a big part in promoting local tourist spots because they are encouraged
or inspired from the people who posted their experience online.
 Closing the doors in Boracay actually played a big part in regards to giving people more
knowledge about sustainable tourism. That it was not just a simple concept of doing things in a
certain way to promote an area. People discovered more about the country that the tourist
spots being advertised are not the only spots available for the people domestically and
internationally.
 International airports have increased in certain places in the country because tourists are
expected to come and visit. Adding proper infrastructures that ensures the quality time that the
tourists expect from a certain city they visit.
 The quality or the amount of attention being given towards tourism also have its perks. The
increase of the GDP which helps the economy is a larger scale, the employment rates have
started to increase that more people are in stable jobs. It also helps people agriculturally,
because people are clinging towards buying local products.
 It is always a challenge to implement laws that were not strictly followed before, but with
proper guidance and collaborations with the different sectors of the government, then all of this
would be easy to handle in a more guided procedure.
 The slogan “it’s more fun in the Philippines” has been a trademark for many Filipinos, it is what
they are more inclined to. It recognizes Filipino pride and how beautiful the country really is.
And that is what crowd sourcing mean, the more people are giving raw opinions about a certain
place, then it shows authenticity towards their experience.
 Sustainable Tourism happens not just because of the government, it happens because of the
National government, Local Government, Private Stakeholders, and the tourists. It is never a one
sector job; people should always work together towards the same goals because sustainable
tourism does not only benefit one sector.
 Marketing promotions are explained thoroughly to Private sectors to get them on board to
something that would also benefit them along with the benefits that are provided to the
governments. It is also because it helps them to promote the things or the service that they are
offering to tourists.
