Personal Vision and Goals for the

Future
The way I see myself ten years ahead of now is
not something I often think about. To tell you the
truth, it scares me a little knowing that in one short
decade I will be twenty- years old and that my years of
youth are coming to an end. One that I want to God is
that he gives me an opportunity to get in that age; I
will make the most years and put all of my effort to
become a successful and a happy women.

have include is that I will build my house in the
province and in the city with the same style. I’m not
very certain I will be living in my native country ten
years ahead of now, but I am certain that I will visit it
often to see my family, relatives and friends as
frequently as my job allows me to.

A vision I’ve always had of myself years ahead
from now is a successful policewomen and I have my
matured mind. I see myself that I can make peace in
our society through helping people having justice and
peace in their self. I will have graduated at BS
CRIMINOLOGY from college, as well as master in
investigation.
My academy will give scholarships to gifted
young people having outstanding abilities in
investigating crimes and even the poor who doesn’t
have the ability to afford school. I will get financial
support from many other co-police and also my
husband. Much of the money I will earn will help
young people with financial problems. I am sure that
with perseverance and the help of the people I love, as
well as God’s I will have the chance to travel around
the world and meet many beautiful places.
I do to make these dream and aspirations
happen because of my parents that always there for
me and guide me in this journey of being a successful
policewoman. They are my inspiration to be in this
kind of situation that I become a successful one. As
many, achievement I‘d accomplish, houses I bought,
trips I made and people I meet, I truly believe that life
is measured by the moments that take your breath
away, therefore, my purpose in the journey God gave
me the chance to live through, will not only be
materialistic. The reason for my existence will be
happiness, and I believe that with an open heart and a
strong mind, nothing will be keeping it from becoming
part of me.

By the time that I turn 27, I will have visited

dozens of countries around the world and known the

Preface
My name is Xyrelle Joy Matre. A grade 12 HUMSS
student from St. John the Beloved of Good Shepherd
Academy of Victoria Incorporated. It is time to put
knowledge I have learned and attain in my HUMSS class
to good use! As a requirement for the class, I will make a
showcase portfolio to show the problems with my essay
assignment and their revisions. My goal with this
portfolio is to show how much or how long I learned so
that you might not make the same mistakes as I did in the
past year in my senior high school.

This portfolio contains the works I have done in

my HUMSS by Ms. Joylin Balabbo. My portfolio
contains my hard work and dedication for my family and
for myself. This portfolio will show my creativity and
critical thinking style of how I will make it. I become
creative when I’m on this kind of situation because these
kinds of activity challenge my mind on how I think. At
the end of every activity, a reflection or insight is done
that reflect the learning of every student on every topic. It
also shows how and what are the ways to do in order to
finish the different activities. This portfolio may serves as
the basis of total learning of student in this subject.
SEED PAPER
One of my favorite activity that I made. It was
a memorable one. Although I did 2 trials but still I
passed it on my subject teacher on time. It was rainy
week, I can’t achievably make a perfect paper shape
because it was wet and also I make with stainless
plate. I have tried also to put it with plastic and it was
failed again. The last time I try, my seeds are getting
little only and I don’t have more seeds to take. I spend
electricity because of the blender that I used. At last, I
make it by a t-shirt and I achievably put the seed
paper out of it.

In term of designs, my auntie help me to design

it because she was pitiful o me because of what
happen on my work. She helps me to put the leaves
that she took on her garden. So through this activity,
it reflects me that I should be careful and wise on
where I should put the wet paper that I will make.

FIGHT ON POEM
One of my favorite poem that I ever wrote. I
made this poem for those people who were down in
their life. Lives full of stress, problems but still
happiness are there. Whatever the day could bring
into our life, it’s just a challenge given by God that
God knows that we can make it with his help. War
here, war there all problems are anywhere. We are
Filipinos; together we can make it through. Just unite
and be patience in each other together be free and just
being happy.
PAINTING POEM
Third of the most poem that I’ve wrote this
senior high school life. This poem expresses on how or
what is the painting for me. How I express my feelings
on a painting. This wasn’t good enough for you
because this was just for my own point of view but
still it’s good for me that I wrote this kind of poem.
Apiece that could express what’s my personal feeling
and personal opinion on how painting is important to
me.
Painting gives us a lot of courage to express our
feelings even you’re sad, happy and angry. For me,
paintings are another way of keeping a diary. You
know why? Because when you’re painting it was the
same when you are writing in expressing your feeling
inside you heart and soul.
NEW MEDIA ESSAY
Today, we are beginning to notice that the new
media are not just mechanical gimmicks for creating
world of illusion, but new language with new and
unique powers of expression. I wrote this essay
because I want to inform all of the social media people
to encourage their self to lessen the use of media
because it has in return problems for our health.
Even it was helpful for us as a human, but still
be careful on its effects. New media teach me a lot of
knowledge that could apply on my life or journey of
my life. To communicate on my mom, I also use
media. It gives a lot of information and technology
that can use for the future.
TREND PHONE IN THE
PHILIPPINES
An activity that was helpful on how cellphone
flows in our society. It just starts at a Bell and ends
up with eco-friendly wearable cellphone. As you can
see, I correctly make the trend of the phone because I
want a detailed one. All are starts only in just a
keypad phone but now the people are too smart to
think on different kind of phones. The first time I had
my phone is that I was 7 years old I think in just
keypad phone. I was happy that I have that before
and appreciate it. Now I have a smartphone with
touchscreen keypad and all I can do on it.
Smartphone has become a young divine,
embodying the ultimate desire and saving us from
droopiness or lack of care and concern. It is a epitome
of happiness, encompassing pleasure and
contentment, but for sure does not allow woe and
depression.
BUSINESS PROPOSAL
I dream to have a business since the day that I
learn to have business for my parents in the future. I
always dream of them eating on their own restaurant
that contains a lot of Filipino food that make them to
feel simple but having a successful life in the future. I
named it Le Rendezvous because it’s for those couple
to have good breakfast, lunch and dinner. I try to do
this for a having understanding as a couple just like
my mom and dad. I would like to grab this
opportunity because I know that this will be a
successful one and I will be also a successful
businesswoman and a policewoman.

Everyone must work, but for many of us job

isn’t a paycheck, it’s an opportunity to express
ourselves and make something better. Success is not
final; failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue
that counts. Business opportunities are like buses,
there’s always one coming. Every problem is a gift,
without problem we would not grow.
