PROJECT TITLE : FIRE FIGHTER ROBOT

❖ SUMMARY:

⮚ Aim:
● The purpose of this project is to design , build & test a robot capable of extinguishing fire and
effectively replacing a firefighter in highly dangerous situations.
● The robot will allow for firefighters to not only put out a fire automatically, but allow rescuers to
scout a burning building before sending any firefighters inside.
● This implementation will increase the safety of firefighters and therefore help mitigate deaths
from unsafe conditions.

⮚ Conclusion :
● This project presents the design and the implementation of a fire fighter robot that moves
towards the fire and pump out water to extinguish the fire.
● This project includes the combination of “Hardware & Software” ( Embedded System ) which is
interfacing of Sensors , Motors and Pump with the controller.
● The sensors have a limited field of detection , this factor can affect the capability of the system.

❖ SYNOPTIC WORKING :

This project is based on the principle of flame sensor, sometimes it is called as fire sensor. This flame
sensor is used to determine the distance between the fire and the robot. This sensor have two
sections transmitter and receiver, which are used to send and receive the “Infrared Signals”. When
the fire is detected by the sensors then the robot moves towards the fire automatically and put out
the water from the container through the pump & the fire is extinguished.

4. Micro Servo motor ( SG90 ) 1 Nos.
5. Motor driver module ( L293D ) 1 Nos.
6. Mini DC submersible pump ( 5volt ) 1 Nos.
7. Small rubber pipe to put out water 1 Nos.
8. Robot chassis with 2 Gear motors ( 150 RPM ) 1 Nos.
9. Wheels for Gear motors 2 Nos.
10. Caster wheel 1 Nos.
11. Jumper wires ( as per requirement )
12. Small breadboard 1 Nos.
13. Screws for setting up the components ( as per requirement )
● Additional equipments required : mini drill machine , soldering iron & wire, screw driver , glue
gun etc.
